  1. Marv Levy's first draft pick was...Marshwan Lynch...A guy with a checkered past!..
  2. Still yet to see a OT or DE on this years draft class!
  3. Finally the run on the QBs....leaving Bray and Scott as the remaining QBs
  4. This *developmental* stuff is way overrated. If EJ plays well this summer in training camp, he simply wins the starting gig. In today's NFL, the team will put a rookie QB in, if he is capable of winning games. EJ comes with a 28-6 collegiate record. I don't really understand the *developmental* aspect. If you like a player and don't want to lose him, you simply pick him at the spot given to you. The Bills risked quite a few times in the last decade and have paid the penalty for that. A resounding +1
  5. That would be a *great day* in the life of Bill!
  6. Nix and the Scouts run the draft. I am sure Marronne gets his input, but would not be pushing for a specific player. That would be more of Belichek style, not Doug's (Plus Belichek is the defacto GM).
  7. Why is it all on CJ Spiller. First, Marronne has to fix that leaky defense before talking about playoffs or super bowl. If this team can get to a middle-of-the-pack defense, then we have a good shot.
  8. Why not, Jackson has been on this roster for almost 8 months and is yet to don the Uniform.
  9. You don't pay 15M to be your 4th WR. And they wouldn't/couldn't adjust!!!!
  10. Kolb would have to beat out Manuel and Jackson for the starting gig. Doug said so much so: All his players will be fighting for a starting gig...what a refreshing change in attitude as compare to the previous staff, which was hell bent on not giving an opportunity to the backups. I believe most of the agents (at least for the 1st rounders) are negotiating a guaranteed deals, meaning all the 4 or 5 years of salaries are guaranteed for the player irrespective if they are or not there on the team.
  11. My only point was we are giving Hoodie 4 chances to pick a good player rather than just one pick....
  12. But,...But....the Pats got 4 picks in the draft for their 31st pick!!!! People always will find fault no matter what.
  13. Another good poll will be: Will the Bills draft another QB in the lower rounds now that they have an additional 7th Rounder.
  14. Twitter Quote from Ian Rapoport on NFL.com Ian Rapoport @RapSheet Yeah.... RT @greggrosenthal Bills win the best smokescreen award. Confused everyone. about 6 hours ago
  15. We will know today if the Jags, Raiders, Eagles, Cardinals and Jets pick a QB at the top of the Rd 2 or pass on all of them (Smith, Barkley, Naasib, Wilson)
  16. I hope Brad Smith is cut loose.
  17. Awesome. You should be working in the PR Department of one of the NFL agents or the teams......That is pretty smooth talking.....and will make the rounds around the networks!!! Why didn't Goddell protect Smith the same way he did with Brady Quinn a few years ago by removing him from the Cameras?
  18. The Eagles or Jaguars would have taken him at the top of the 2nd round. Who knows. I am glad the Bills got the first crack at the line of QBs and picked the one that was at the top of their draft board.
  19. Don't forget the "SJ" Man....His antics in the Endzone would be required.
  20. Bills will pick a DB in the 1st round Bills will trade Byrd for a 1st round pick
  21. Such stupid comparisons is what is getting old around here :wallbash:
  22. I understand with the #s...But in a very deep draft in talent, the Patriots were handed additional picks in every round to add more depth to their roster with some really good players. That is what hurts other teams. With that many picks the Patriots can pick the right players or wheel and deal them for picks next year.
  23. In fact, it doesn't even matter what the eagles or browns want to do. The Bills had him at the top of their chart and chose their #1 guy. I would rather pick my first choice rather than being dictated by someone else and then overpaying for it (like they did with JP Losman) +1. Sure wanted Barkley before the draft, but I think they can win with EJ..... EJ, CJ and TJ on the same field on Day 1....That is awesome This is actually an anti-buddy pick in some sense. The last two years they rated the QBs in the correct round and waited to pick them in those rounds and missed out on them...This time, they made sure that they got their guy (Whether the guy will succeed or not, that is a different issue). Agree. It is a pretty tough situation for Geno Smith. But that is why they get the big bucks. There are roughly 100 QBs playing the NFL every year. To be one of that 100, you got to show a lot of guts, maturity....In fact the draft was pretty harsh on many of the immature players today. No team wanted to take a flyer on a immature player.
  24. Why. Each QB needy team have visited with all these players multiple times and have their own sources in evaluating these players. I am sure NFL scouts are not reading into some random internet noise!. The biggest concern with Smith was his locking on to his primary receiver and his ability to handle tough situations.
