  1. On ESPN Website: Backs with statistics http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/65051/why-bills-drafted-ej-manuel-in-first-round
  2. Unfortunately those advertisements is what pays the players (along with the TV contracts, which in turn is dependent on the Advertisements on TV) salaries and the existence of the franchise.
  3. Good video. Shows that he has some work to do (Like all rookies). Hopefully, the bills staff will be able to iron out his flaws.
  4. Rich Stadium sounded very good on TV for over 20 years.... "Welcome to Rich Stadium at Orchard Park"......
  5. And a real QB drafted in the 2010 draft
  6. When your starting QB goes by Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers for the last 15+ years, then no one cares if you are playing in GB or not. It was the same way here in Buffalo, when the K-Gun was operational. In fact, the players loved playing for the Bills even post-Kelly era when the Flutie show came to the town.
  7. Actually, that is not true. He inherited the following players who actually played during his 3 -year regime Eric Wood, Levitre on the OL Fitzpatrick QB Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson as RBs Stevie Johnson as the WR On Defense: Byrd, Kyle Williams, Scott. The team he inherited actually won 7 games, something his regime is failed to accomplish in 3 seasons.
  8. The most interesting thing to come out of OBD post draft would be their ability to get it done on the Byrd new deal. The Bills need Byrds ball hawking skills and veteran leadership on that defense.
  9. Isn't he (Belichek) already lifeless....the zombie coach
  10. I wish one of the scouts or front office staff of Jax or the Eagles come out and say that they would have picked Manuel at the top fo the 2nd (or even at the bottom of the 1st) if he had been available. This will put the whole thing to rest. May be one of the journalists like Tim Graham or Gaughan should hunt down one of those front office staff and get the information (leaked) out through them. Where is investigative journalism nowadays!
  11. I would love to see the Bills operate in the same way as Walt Disney does...It would make it a far more profitable business.
  12. May be they will build a secondary stadium (next to the primary stadium) and show the game on a big HD screen and charge a lot lesser; the same noise would be heard in the primary stadium keeping the players happy. win-win situation. And the beer would cost $3 bucks. Hey some one told me that I need to think outside the box!
  13. Aah...That Jets Game....Why did you have to remind us of that pain...A game where we were supposed to kick Mark Sanchez in his B***......Instead he kicked us all around.
  14. Agree., At least will go with the satisfaction that the Bills did try to improve by getting a franchise QB.
  15. The biggest change I am expecting (hoping) to see from this team is their ability to stop the *RUN*. If Pettine can do that with this group consisting of the same players on the DL, it will be an amazing turnaround and will be very indicative of the coaching that was in place. If the defense and special teams can hold tight and give a chance for this offense to blossom we will be alright. How would we sweep the AFC, if we lose 2 games within the division ? I don't think the name of the team matters. It has been a heart breaking 10 seasons if you are a Knicks fan, especially in such a talent-void NBA. The same goes with the Patriots. The patriots stunk up the joint for decades before the magical arrival of Brady.
  16. We won 6 games with that ****ty roster. Agreed it takes time to gel as a unit, but this is not your grandfather's NFL. Today's NFL allows rookies to become stars. We definitely have the capability to win more than 6 games as long as they don't play roulette at the QB position. Pick one and stay with it through the course.
  17. +1. Well said. Let us enjoy the ride, if there is magic in it.
  18. I hope Marrone has learned how to be the HC of a team and has had good success @ Syracuse. On the other hand, Chan was talked us as a good coordinator. However, he sucked being a HC, especially getting the right pieces working on the defense.
  19. Life is not simple. People are asked be mature at much earlier ages depending on their situations. There is no specific time as to become *mature*
  20. Yeah. I though usually they have it the weekend after the draft weekend.
  21. +1. And if EJ can be as good as Eli Manning, we could possibly build a very good team.
  22. But that is true for everyone. You need to be lucky to go to the right system to thrive and win the big game. Eli and Big Ben went to two of the best run organizations in the NFL and with the addition of their talent, those teams became instant superbowl contenders. Do you think Troy Aikman wins those 3 superbowls without that supporting cast and effective coaching. You need an excellent QB to push the rest of the team to be better. Without that leader, all these great players don't mean a squat when it comes to winning championships. The same goes for Tom Brady.
  23. As per Doug, all starting spots are up for grabs and not just guard. There will be competition at every spot.
  24. +1. I thought the same too. And Hackett looks so tiny Awesome media clip. I think this guy is special. So many traits that you don't see in a single person. Now can he QB the floundering Buffalo Bills to a championship? I am feeling good about the chances !
