  1. The other difference is the coaching staff of the dumbass teams and the SB teams....The dumbass teams have predominantly had mediocre coaching staff.
  2. And Andy 'the man in denial' Reid coaching the team.
  3. One journeyman QB is already making this with the Buffalo Bills and another one made 3M last year for not even dressing up for the games !!!!
  4. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2012/3/27/2906144/buffalo-bills-mark-anderson-contract-details According to the above article, Anderson will make 2.5M this year., If we do cut him, then our cap hit will be 4.5M of the remaining pro-rated bonus. If the Bills want to save that 2.5M for another player, then they could cut him after June1st and amortize that bonus over the next two seasons. I definitely think this is manageable. Also, Anderson may actually have a good role in Pettine's defense.
  5. Or a extremely good RB who can line up at the Slot. I hope this coaching staff will put Spiller and Jackson on the field at the same time. Nelson was a better WR.
  6. Wood is definitely (albeit injured often) a better player than Levitre. Wood dominates the line of scrimmage. Whenever Wood for injured, Fitz game was not the same. He never had time to step in the pocket and throw.
  7. How can the Bills make a play on him when he is still the Chiefs property until March 12th.... :wallbash: Clayton quoted that with the current cap situations, it will only be possible for a team to have approximately 6-8 players being paid more than 6M a year (and with some of those 6-8 getting 10-15M a year). We have big contracts for Stevie, Fitz, Mario, Anderson, Williams and Byrd. That is six players. Can we add Levitre and another big WR to that pool ? We definitely have the cap to do it.
  8. Fitz replaced Trent Edwards because he was able to throw the ball down field. Now that Fitz refuses to throw the ball downfield or misfires consistently, it is only time for him to be replaced by someone who can do that. Anyone who can stretch the field opens up those big lanes for Spiller.
  9. We will find out soon. With Cap space, the Steelers may have to take another year off before being relevant. The Ravens are going to be cap strapped by that Flacco deal in the near term. The Browns....are just the browns (Though Norv has a good RB in his hand). The AFC North is prime for taking and Dalton and the Bengals just did that last season. Now can they repeat and go deeper in the playoffs ?
  10. Unfortunately if the HC comes in and tells them (FO) that Fitz will not be his starter, then they have a even bigger problem.
  11. I think it is more of the opposite...meaning a FEW solid moves and some head scratchers.... Good stuff: 1. Spiller 2. Cordy Glenn 3. Re-signing Stevie 4. Picking Urbik on the waiver wire 5. Signing of Mario Williams Bad Stuff: 1. PIcking a horrible HC 2. No Franchise QB in place in 3 years 3. Paying a huge contract to Fitz when he went 4-1 against scrubs (except for game against Patriots). 4. Unable to get a decent LB crew 5. Not locking up Levitre and Byrd in year 3 and letting them to get to UFA. 6. Missed on drafting Williams, Troupe, Arrington etc. 8. Re-signing Kelsay calling him leader.
  12. I agree DJ, TJ and whoever was the 4th scrub WR were any good. But still, all Fitz did was overthrew passes, threw bullets within 5 yards that couldn't be caught and then vastly underthrew the sideline throws. It was consistently inconsistent performance from Fitz.
  13. +1. You won't find your QB if you don't look for them....And we have to stop thinking about Losman, Johnson etc. Losman was a raw talent...Barkley is NFL ready with a 4 year starting gig at USC. The Bills just need to pick the QB and stick with him from day 1. This guy is deadly accurate. He would have been a Top-3 pick if he had come out in the draft last year. I hope this team stops picking 1-year wonders and DBs in the 1st round. We need more tougher talent....and before I forget, a QB. KC - Traded for Alex Smith with possibly 2 2nd-round picks. Can't see them spending their top pick on a QB. Jax - Good possibility, especially if Mr. Khan is not sold on Gabbert Oakland - Minor possibility, if Palmer will not reduce his salary and Raiders cut ties with him. Philadelphia - Decent possibility. Kelly has picked Vick for this year. But that doesn't mean he will not draft one and get him up to speed next year. Cleveland - Good possibility. New regime, new HC...May want to have a clean start Detroit - Definite No. Arizona - The biggest threat to us. Even if they get Cassell, he will be a backup. But they also may be more enamored by Barkley than Geno Smith Out of the 7, Definite No: 2 (KC, Detroit) Minor Possibility - 2 (Oakland, Philly) Decent Possibility - 1 (Cleveland) Biggest threat - 1 (Arizona) I believe only Cleveland and Arizona are in between us from getting either Smith or Barkley.
  14. When you QB cannot throw accurate passes consistently, you cannot blame it on the WRs.
  15. With the flat cap this season, many teams are cap-strapped and it is going to be really hard for all these above-average players to get pro-bowl player type contracts. Many of these FAs are going to find that teams are not going to break the bank for them (Wallace, Jennings, Bowe) and they are going to make "disappointing" contracts in April/May. Some will jump on offers before the draft picks, as their value then keeps going down.
  16. We could sign Danny Woodhead...At least he will not score 2 TD every game against us.
  17. In your post, you have a WR in Rd 2 and a TE in Rd 3. Wouldn't it then make sense to pick your QB in Rd 1 instead of another WR. Patterson could be a one-year college wonder.
  18. Isn't that still SIX months away buddy!
  19. McGee did not get the benefit of two big contracts from the Buffalo Bills as Kelsay received. May be McGee is looking for that one contract that will also pay him to be on par with Kelsay!!!
  20. He just needs the Reggie White "Miracle" to happen on his knees! My feeling is that if the competition can be consistent in training camp and pre-season, this staff may take the risk. Anyways who knows...It is time for us to enjoy the off season.
  21. McGee did not retire...He wants to still play in the NFL. I think there is a big difference. May be when McGee eventually retires, they will do the ceremonial sign-and-retire and do all the stuff you described. I think with this regime, nothing is guaranteed. If a rookie does outplay Lindell in training camp, I think Lindell may get cut. After all, even last years lousy regime cut Moorman during the season. If cutting Lindell saves money and a younger player, I see this group taking it that way.
  22. Except that no one would pay 7.5M as bonus/salary for a back up.
  23. And he (Lindell) may not be out of the woods yet...He very well could be replaced by a cheaper option before/after training camp It is easy...If you love football, you can always do that....There are so many great players on other teams that we dislike on the field, but once the game is done, we really appreciate their games. I am a big Knicks fan and for a decade when they had one of their best teams, they were pummeled every year by Michael Jordan (and by Olajuwon the two years Michael took a break) in the playoffs and they ended up having ZERO championships while Jordan and the Bulls had SIX. Yet, I really enjoyed watching Jordan as a player...He was magnificent.
  24. We need continuity on this line. Levitre has been the most reliable player on this line for the past 4 years. I just don't understand why we would let him go, when we have other critical holes to fill at WR, TE and LB position.
  25. But that is something to be dealt by Nix. I would ask Nix as to the reason for releasing Jones and Nelson. The coaches job is to let the Player Personnel Dept know who they want and who they don't.
