Schwartz was not going to be a DC here especially after interviewing for the HC position. The question to ask is would we have been better with Schwartz as the HC running that defense.
In order to to do this, the Bills need to first sustain drives. They need to be better on 3rd downs. The opportunity to include your playmakers come when you can show consistency in moving the football. Sadly,we have lacked that in both the games.
Yes Agreed...But when stuff doesn't work, why not try different things than just run straight into the OL on the first two plays and then throw deep on the 3rd down.
There was no pass rush generated, hence D looked pretty ordinary. Bills defense was on the field for 40+ minutes....Our offense sucks. The only issue I had with the D was that they were giving up 3rd 9s consistently.
The Time of Possession was something like 40min to 20 minutes...When the defense is on the field for 40 minutes against a marauding offense, they are going to get killed.
Offense showed no creativity to play the short-range game.
