Sammy Watkins DeAndre Hopkins & QB's
ganesh replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A player can get 10+ targets only if they can keep the chains moving. Our offense's inability to convert 3rd and short this season was a big reason for not having enough targets. -
Marrone/Schwartz to Miami? Nope. Gase it is.

And whose fault is that. NFL players are paid professionals and are paid to do a job; a job description that has been put up by the Coaching staff. They have to follow the instructions/orders associated with that staff. They did not. If the D was confused, then may be the players needed to stand up and raise their view inside the club house. Pouting in the media does not get you anywhere. It is the same thing as it happens in your job. If you can't do your job then it is the next man in the line. -
Are you still bitter over fredex after seeing carlos

did they have one this year ? -
+1. The Bills have to give Tyrod a chance. He had a reasonably good season. 5 INTs is a good indication that he can protect the football and doesn't make mistakes. His accuracy is 65%. That is pretty good in NFL. Does he need to develop. Absolutely. He will get a TC where he will be the undisputed leader and would not share reps with two other QBs. He can build consistency and timing with his WRs. The Bills should focus on OL and LBs. These are their biggest weakness. I prefer the BIlls don't split the reps in training camp. It hurt them this year as Tyrod and the WRs took a longer time to get in sync

The team went no where when he was the leader on this team for the past several seasons. Leadership must come from the HC. Marrone was a good HC and had a good control of his team. Rex not so much. -
Are you saying that Rex's D is bad ?

Wherever Schwartz will coach -
Do you see a problem with the scheme or the execution. My fear is that defense got cocky with the lofty standards they reached last year and then refused to buy into a new scheme because they felt they were good last year. This in general is hard to overcome and usually results in a mutiny. Rex doesn't have to back down just like Schwartz did not when he took over from Pettine.

There is lot more than Injuries and Mario. This team was undisciplined. Too many penalties that put the offense and defense in holes that they could not recover. Responsibility soles rests on Ryan and his coaching staff, especially the stupid Taunting penalties by Jerry Hughes. If the team did not have a true complementing 2nd WR, then it again falls on the coaching staff to have not recognized that early in the system. If Woods was NOT going to be the 2nd WR, then why have him on the team. This is a brain scratcher to me and again falls on the Coaching staff and the General Manager. The defense had a lot of difficulty in learning this play book. They were not able to play their natural game. Preston Brown who had to make the calls, himself said so. Again, this falls on the Coaching staff for not recognizing this as an issue and adapting to it. The offense had difficulty converting 3rd and short all year long. First downs that could have kept the drives going. This was indicating of a very average football team. No Mario is not a cancer....This team flat out sucked. As Dixon clearly stated....this team played like a bunch of individuals....If they played with the team mentality they would have won with their talent.

SI.com: Bills a possible landing spot for Chip?
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
DB is just reporting and speculating that he is a possible candidate if Pegula's feel that Rex has lost his welcome in Buffalo and has very strongly underachieved. -
Chip Offed...the old block
ganesh replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That could be a good fit. Doug will be forever unforgiven for the exit ramp that he chose to take to flee Buffalo. But when he was here, he knew to coach this team. He got the best out of the players and coaches. The only thing I disliked was his reluctance to share information about the team after the games. -
Do Steelers fans BILL-ieve that we can beat the Jets?
ganesh replied to Vinaccia's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Should the Bills help the Steelers. After all, the Steelers denied us a play off chance when we blew it against their 3rd and 4th stringers....Especially their QB running on a 4th and 3 in the 4th quarter to keep the ball away from the Bills.. The Bills would love to have a HC like Tomlin -
Jets--they really aren't much, if at all better than Bills
ganesh replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is a very fine line dividing the NFL teams in terms of talent. A few plays here and there and the smartness of the teams separates the pretenders and contenders. The Jets are contenders because they have played SMART football with the same talent level as possibly the Bills. Remember the Jets are ranked #1 against the Run, forcing opposing teams to throw against a HOF CB. -

ESPN: An early look at the offseason QB Market
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ is done with the Bills, whether we like it or not. Kaep and RGIII would want an opportunity to compete for starting job in TC. They are not going to come in for a backup position. There are plenty of teams that are QB needy. -
The Bickering Bills....Once again Rex shows that he has no control over his players...This is exactly what you get when you are a players coach....Players take you for granted.....Marronne ran a pretty tight ship....He never let players talk to the media.
-
ANd yet we are 3-2 in our division beating both Miami and the Jets.
-
In 10 out of 15 seasons, Miami and the Jets have split their season with the Patriots. On the other hand the Bills have done it just 4 times....I don't think the Patriots start with a 6-0 advantage every season...May be 2-0 due to the lack lusture Bills.
-
Agree with KW. But the salary cap, the age (32) and season-ending injuries in back-to-back seasons will hurt his chances. Plus if they have to pay on the OL (Richie and Glenn) then they have to take some money away from the DL.
-
WHy...How is different than the other games that we lost....We were 28-3 against the Jags too... We could have beaten Kansas City and we lost. We could have beaten Philly and we lost.

DOn't forget Belichek and Brady. They are winning with nobody....

The chemistry on deep balls to Sammy... A huge development
ganesh replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Watkins was injured in pre-season. It has taken a while to build the chemistry. Watkins did not make plays (or did not get an opportunity) early in the season and we were winning then. Now Watkins in his true form, sadly the bills can't convert that success to team wins. Not having Clay has hurt Tyrod the past two weeks. This team does not have a legitimate 2nd WR. Woods is becoming a 3rd WR. Hogan has been off-form for the past month, dropping several key plays.
