Its not all on Dorsey. The Bills did have a top 5 Offense last season. We had injuries to the OL, WRs and QB. The Bills defense was more problematic

The draft is a crap shoot. If you had a feel for a certain player and you needed to get him, the 4th round pick is not important.

I think it is the DL. they have brought in a starter on the OL in FA and will probably add at least another one in the draft. There are also some good DEs available post draft that they can get without counting against the cap. The biggest hole at this time is DT. They have to find a starter in this draft.

To be fair, the 2nd half of the season seemed to be a "low scoring" team even though they scored more in the 2nd half of the season. It is the perception.

The Bills are weakest on Defense

I don't think the Bills perceive WR as a need. They signed two veteran FA in the off season. I think Shakir will surprise a lot of people this year. The Bills will go defense in RD1 (or OL)

Joe Marino had done a good research on Gabe and his skill set. The important one was that Gabe had very little thrown to him in the 5-10 yards space...That is because he doesn't get the early separation...However, as evidenced in Joe Schoen's commentary (during the draft time), Gabe closed very fast.....I think that is why he is very good beyond the 15 yard throws.... Now, if you have a fantastic slot guy, then Gabe could continue to create havoc in the mid-range space. All the more I don't see the Bills investing on a WR in the 1st round...I still think it will be a RT or a LB.

It is very possible the Bills will Franchise Tag Gabe and then could find a trading partner...like they did with Peerless Price several years ago.

Morse Whereas on Defense: * Von Miller * Tre White * Poyer * Hyde * Milano * Rosseau * Ed Oliver * Jones The problem for the Bills are that they are spending significant money on their Safeties, something most of the NFL teams don't do.

Mahomes made those clutch plays in those 17 seconds to get them to FG range, just like how Allen ran over those KC defenders in the regular season game. Mahomes makes a little more plays than Allen right now. Hopefully, the script will be flipped this year. A few years ago, the Bengals HC Taylor, was a laughing stock in the NFL...However, once he got Burrows he is not the real QB whisperer....give credit to Burrows.

The Bills have signed Veteran FA for the IOL position. I doubt they draft for IOL in the 1st three rounds as they have big needs at WR, DR, LB ahead of IOL

I think the date for the comp pick consideration is over and also as long as these guys salaries are under 2M, then they also don't count against the cap.

Agreed. But Allen also makes far more mistakes (INT,Fumbles) than Mahomes does. We love Allen for what he has brought to Buffalo, but he needs to tighten his game if he wants to win championships.

I hope it is the later rounds or pick a TE in 1st or 2nd only if a TE is the BPA. The Bills haven't figured out how to maximize Knox in the passing game. The Bills need to make Knox their #2 receiver and focus on getting OL protection in the draft. Otherwise, with two TE, we will be simply using them for blocking at the Line and blocking downfield with no one to catch.

Agree...they also were leading 20-7 or something over us before we came back to win 23-20.. Last year ew had a lot more closer games than the previous year....This year is going to be even tougher with the stockpiling of talent in the AFC. The Chiefs, Bengals, Bills, Jacksonville and the Chargers have Franchise QBs and will continue to be good. The Dolphins, and Jets have improved massively...A coaching change in Denver could bring them back to contention...The Steelers and Ravens could surprise.
