Also, with Josh spreading the ball around, Coleman is not going to have that 80-catch season. The same goes for Worthy.

Not buying this...The line is the same as last year. He seemed to perform better last year than this year. Definitely has taken a step back after the 1st quarter of the season.

Saturday Football Thread: PIT@BAL & HOU@KC (no Bills stuff please)
ganesh replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Jets haven't made the playoffs in over a decade...the Bills have won the division the last 5 times..before that it was all Patriots. The Dolphins won the division once... The AFCE has been week compared to the North -
Ryan Clark has recently become critical of every QB not named Mahomes...I assume he is competing with Nick's show.

Defense’s Injuries - Can we get healthy for the playoffs?
ganesh replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bishop was not injured. He had cramps and had to go inside to get treatment. He will be ready for Sunday at home. Injuries to Douglas and Rapp doesn't appear to be serious for them to miss multiple games. I see them back in the lineup next week. The biggest unknown may be Matt Milano's injury. -
Abd they play those two tough match ups in the next 10 days - Saturday and Thursday. A rough stretch indeed.

Curious to hear (not a sarcasm) on how you think the Bills can improve the defense with the given personnel? Are they ready to change scheme and go more man-coverage and roll the dice with their DBs hoping that there are not too many big plays ? Are they ready to go to a more common 4-3-4 instead of the 4-2-5 scheme they are running which would mean either Johnson takes another CB or goes to the bench. I mean the chiefs have done that with their best slot corner. The biggest place where change may be needed but the Bills are not flexible enough to get is the DL. For the Bills to win, this DL needs to play at a different level every single snap.

I think the observation is - what happened to that pass rush in the final quarter especially on 3rd and long. They all appear to have disappeared. Now go beat the oldest starting QB in the league and the youngest starting QB in the league....

As someone posted in another thread - McDermott is a great coach and team builder...Where we see his short coming is in game management, especially in critical areas. Secondly, no matter who runs the defense, McDermott has his fingerprints on it and associated deeply with it...hence he takes accolades as well as criticism.

That would be awesome... MVP, Lombardi, SB-MVP...... -
At least the #2 seed in the AFC in the bag now?
ganesh replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Correct...We beat the Jets on MNF on a late 4th quarter game winning FG. We then beat the Dolphins on a 61 yard game winning FG... Division games are tough. The one good thing is that the next two games are at home. -

Nice...Some player actually has a chance to overtake Josh Allen.....astounding....Go Bills !!! -
The defense gave up 28 points n the 2nd half after holding them to 14 in the 1st half. Looks like the Lions made the necessary adjustments during half time and were able to counter our defense for which we appeared to have no answer.

Samuel came in and played in the 4th quarter. Not sure what was the diagnosis for Spencer..He appears to have some sort of neck stinger -

Wasn't Carlton Davis drafted with one of the 2nd round picks given to Tampa Bay as part of the Josh Allen Trade ? -
That play was made by Milano...

It was a tough win ON THE ROAD against the Conference leading opponent who hadn't lost a home game to an AFC opponent in that building for a few years. It was tough to see this defense getting torched in spite of having a lot more pressure than the team had in the last game. The middle of the defense looks a lot weaker than we assumed. -

they played not to lose...and with slow LBs that was always going to be a problem -
Three missed calls going against us. Hit on Allen as he was sliding PI non-call on Shakir the bad false start penalty.
-
and yet that defense is so underwhelming. they are desperate to get some stars come out of that group and it has been tough going. The silver line of this defense is forcing turnovers and winning the battle in the red zone. The failed on both counts last week that resulted in the loss. Oliver, Groot, Benford, Bernard need to turn into blue chip playerss. Good Enough is NOT Good Enough for this team's super bowl aspirations.

Niners scorn 'selfish' De'Vondre Campbell's refusal to play
ganesh replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
There is no single pattern or indication for a potential mental health. Each situation is so different If a professional football player is pissed about his demotion, he is going to the GM and asking for his release because he needs to find another matching job. anyways, this was just a thought. -

mental health of the players needs to be taken seriously by the NFL. We have no idea what the players are going through and questioning their "unusual" decisions is beyond our means. -
Josh named AFC Offensive Player of the Week (vs San Francisco)
ganesh replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not even close...Josh willed his team almost to a win in spite of the Defense, ST and Coaches bungling. I am not sure what more could he have done on such a historic night.
