Beane elaborates on the process of picking Josh Allen

It is also true that one size doesn’t fit all. What worked for Josh may not work for the others. allen is a unique player. -
Agreed. It is really on the coaches...they have to be able to 1-up on Reid and Spagnola..They have failed the last five times in the playoffs....

Thought Exercise: Best Bills QB (99-2017) who'd be JA17 backup

Tyrod took us to the playoffs breaking the 17-year drought -
AJ is expendable if they can find a trade partner. That is the only wauy the Bills can write off his $6M salary cap hit
-
It is Bosa for me. We have missed that pass rush to bring down Mahomes in the playoffs...We need him to get to the QB in key moments.

He did make clutch catches/

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?
ganesh replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
You are under estimating the play of Josh Palmer. The season will unfold. Josh Palmer ??? I think Samuel's role in this offense is as a gadget player. They want him to line up behind the QB, at the edge or in the slot. I think Samuel's position on this team will be determined in Training Camp. -
Agreed..We currently have zero blue chip players (all-pro's) in our defense. It needs 2-3 to be a SB champion. I hope the defense turns around this time.

All your NFC games are at 1 PM. I am pretty sure Fox will want one of those games (Tampa) at a 4:25 PM start -
Bills Offseason moves to date & Projected Roster

We don't have a P.U.N.T.E.R. !!! 🙂 🙂 Seriously, the biggest piece that concerns me on this team is still defense...We are one injury away from losing Milano or Bernard and then there is no NFL caliber backups other than Williams. Last two years both these gentlemen missed significant number of games and it was evident in this teams inability to stop the run. On Offense, if you saw the highlights of the 1st half of last season, both Coleman and Kincaid made great plays before injuries stuck them and then they were never the same in the 2nd half including the playoffs. I expect both to come and contribute and improve that offense even more. -
And that did help them to the AFCC. Coopers presence helped the others get open especially the three RBs And Kincaid and Coleman were injured midway in the season and never recovered fully

Is there an NFL team with a weaker WR group than the Bills?

The Bills believe that a 4th Round 1-tech DT is likely going to make a much better impact than a 4th round vertical speed WR who is likely to be the 5th or 6th WR on the team the DT cupboard was bare beyond Oliver and Anderson. The WR group only has the 5th WR position open the value pick there was DT. my bigger concern is LB depth compared to WR. Beyond the two starters and Williams there is no one. I hope the bills pick up someone in post draft FA. Dolac was an ascending player and could have been good here -
We actually don’t know what he is really asking and what the bills are willing to offer I think the days of RB missing TC and regular season is over. It ended with the Pittsburgh back and his season with the jets after that was underwhelming. The bills may be able to move on with Davis and Johnson along with Gore. They are more in trouble if the first two get injured. cook will be back for his final season and maybe Beane figures out a way to give him a contract. cook is a difference maker and the team dies require him for his speed and cutbacks

Plus both Milano and Bernard miss games due to injury. And we don’t have proper backups. We don’t want to be in the position we were two playoff exits ago. Besides Williams there is no real back up at LB. This is a super weak position. And with Taron having a poor season last year there us a big question mark on this team to play the 5DB 2LB scheme effectively. Look at the first 5 or 6 games before his injury. He was having great games. I am sure the knee injury affected him rest of the season. He will be back

The 2024 Bills offense is the all-hime highest scoring offense in Bills history. They will figure a way to get that done. The issue was with a 20th ranked Defense...They have bolstered it through FA and the draft...Now time for the coaches ot get to work and put this puzzle together. -
Bills 5th Round Pick (#2) : Jackson Hawes - TE - Georgia Tech
ganesh replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
May be they have a deal for Amari in place -
Bills 6th Round Pick (#1) : Dorian Strong - CB - VA Tech

It is indeed a huge makeover on defense both in FA and the draft. Bosa, Hoecht, Ogunjobie, White, Jackson and defense all the way in the draft plus re-signing their own in Benford, Bernard I hope our DC has a plan
