That would have actually been nice...and we could have still had Shakir for ONE more year
-
Taylor Rapp is in IR Tre White, Benford and Johnson are having below average season Hairston is yet to take an NFL snap including pre-season Hancock is a rookie that has seen very little snaps Jordan was washed up in Miami last year Bernard and Milano are not 100%. Dorian Williams sucks DaQuan Jones is being considered for IR. Our front four may be very good with Ogunjobi and Hoecht coming in....But the back five are in TATTERS !!!

Agree..the only time he is good on the boundary will be in the end zone where he can fight off the defender.

My view on the Bills Defensive Problems

Watson was the QB of the Texans when we played in the WC game. We were leading 17-0 before losing that game...This is the game where Allen caught a TD pass from Brown on a flea flicker. -
Max Hairston to return to practice from IR
ganesh replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair point; though we know what we have in those two and that may not be good enough -
To be fair to Beane, those speedy receivers are gone in the top half of the draft and that is not where we were pickig the past five years. The other speedy receivers that go in the 4th and 5th rounds are 'flyers' taken on one-trick ponies. There is a rare chance that they become superstars like a Tyreek Hill; but the odds are against it. The only mistake Beane may have made is swapping picking McConkey vs Coleman. It is somewhat a wash as both are inconsistent at best with McConkey being slightly better than Coleman (For every McConkey highlight reel, one can find a similar Coleman highlight reel).

My view on the Bills Defensive Problems
ganesh replied to Cheektavegas Charlie's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have kept the games against the Chiefs close only because of Allen and his heroics. Otherwise, this offense is nothing and will get blown away easily as we saw the last few weeks when Allen himself does not play well. You measure a coach's success against the best of the best and in that department McDermott and his defense has MOSTLY come back small. They have not been able to get over the hump. -
Bengals LB Logan Wilson requests trade - Was at Wyoming with Josh

anybody will be an upgrade over Injured Bernard and Dorian Williams. The Bills currently have only one healthy LB and that is Thompson more importantly - how much does he count against the Salary Cap -

Max Hairston to return to practice from IR

The bills need to get a CB from someone's practice squad. Tre will not be able to hang in there for another 6 weeks -

Is it also possible that we lead in passing yards because opponents (at least the good ones) run the ball against us more successfully. It is a question. -
New coaches added this year - any impact?
ganesh replied to Desert Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
And possibly DL too. With Sanders and Carter already on IR and with Jones likely to follow, we are once again very thin at this position. And when the season ends, your IOL may see a big change too with LG and Center becoming Free Agents.. The Bills have a lot of holes to fill and not sure they have answers to all the pieces....They simply have too many overpaid players who are NOT delivering....and that includes Knox, Spencer, Samuel, T. Johnson, Bernard, Benford, Groot. The only players who show up are Allen, Cook and Oliver...But that is not enough I think he just signed a long term contract -
Game week thread - Bills at Panthers (Game week preview on pg. 18)
ganesh replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
If Josh goes back to playing like Josh, then we win every game irrespective of how our defense holds up.....The last games, we failed to put up 30 points and that was the difference between victory and loss. -
I agree with this so much. We have re-signed average players to big contracts. The Bills had the best chance to let Bernard and Groot play out their contract and then decide their worth. By giving them these 4-year contracts we are stuck with average play for those years and don't have a chance to look outside due to those big cap hits. We don't have all-pro's on this team and you need a few of them who are #1/#2 at their position to get us to that SB....Unfortunately, this team has none except for the reigning MVP who is also not playing well.

It’s time to have an uncomfortable conversation about Taron
ganesh replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Josh will give it here for 2 more seasons and if he does not win the SB, he is getting himself out of Buffalo to another contender (possibly in the West Coast) where he will get a chance to win the SB...sort of like Stafford. -
Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
ganesh replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Typically are...Bloggers are in front of their computer and the #1 thing that comes to you is the ability to do quick research, especially via statistics...Now ChatGPT can take it to a completely different level in that it can even give me his analysis that he desires (identify patterns etc). Journalists are at the event and don't have time to do the research by themselves..they typically have screeners for them that may feed them a few key things here and there...But their focus typlically is on the event. I am not sure if they are fact based....as one has to first trust their sources....I think it is more based on statistics and this is in evidence in Marino's podcast...he simply reels of numbers in every podcast....he is very good at consuming the numbers and forming his opinions and convincing his audience that it is correct. We really missed him in the Atlanta game..Not sure if he will be playing this Sunday. -
Joe Marino's 9 point plan for improvement
ganesh replied to D. L. Hot-Flamethrower's topic in The Stadium Wall
Marino uses a lot of statistics to build his content for his show and it is a fixed structure. It is predominantly based on the statistics around the game (both pre and both) as the basis for his show. These are typical of bloggers and podcaster's. Journalists by nature are looking at the events and report them as is without attaching different contexts to it. They are more of reporters than analysts if that makes sense. -

Marino is not a journalist. He is more of a podcaster. -
