Cleveland and the Bengals were bottom dwellers in that era and would have been easy wins. Putting a 3rd shutout on the road against the Chiefs and the Titans is going to be super hard...
It would be good to see Diggs mindset going into this week. The image of him standing and watching the Chiefs celebrate must be coming back to him when he sets foot on the same stadium. Is he ready to play a different game that will have a different outcome.
Josh was harassed in the AFCC game last year. He couldn't convert those FGs to TD....It would have been more competitive if he had done just that. He couldn't find the rhythm and was hesitant to take what the Chiefs offered him and went away from the game plan.
The Bills WR corps for the AFCC was badly understaffed with the injuries....We are bringing. Diggs/Sanders/Beasley and a much improved Knox into the game. Hopefully Allen can find these targets consistently...
The Bills D wasn't terrible, but not good in that game. As I wrote in other places, the Bills coaching staff were OUT COACHED by Andy Reid's staff. Will our staff come through this time and beat the Chiefs.
Why would you cut him. He is an above average guard and finding backups like him is very hard.
This game will be on the Bills coaching staff as much as the players. The staff has to put a game plan in place that is fearless in execution. They need to figure out how to convert FGs to TD. The game will be won on the sidelines.
We didn't protect the QB
We didn't have good play calling on offense
We didn't have. good QB play on that day
Oh and BTW, there was a blocked punt returned for TD and that was the difference in score.
Agreed. This team is still not firing on all cylinders..
*. Too many FGs in Red zone...That won't work against the Chiefs (as in AFCC game last year)
*. Allen and WRs are still not on the same page.
*. OL Pass protection is still average
Last year we missed him very much in the games against the Titans and the Chiefs. I hope he can be the big difference next two weeks. Go Bills.
The Bills need to play a 100% perfect game to come away with victories at Kansas City and Nashville and Star along with Oliver have to play lights out to stop the Cheifs and Titans offense
it happens
Add to it
Bad OL play
Bad play calling on Offense
Poor day by Josh Allen
Defense buckled under pressure at the worst time
Zero pass rush against a week OL protecting a statue in Ben
And yet we couldn't beat the Steelers scrubs !!! Also, not sure if Pat Williams played on those teams. I though Greg Williams thought he was too fat and he went on to play several good seasons for the Vikings.
Both of them have the common trend is that they hardly make game changing plays. I think fans have the right to ask that from their 'intended' super stars.
The chiefs just played brutal games against the Ravens and Chargers (after winning a close game against Cleveland) and now must face a touch Eagles team on the road..and then playing Us, Washington and the Titans.....As brutal as ours if not more..... Think about it ....The chiefs could possibly be 1-6......Yes it is a possibility because these are all tough teams
Josh has to play better when the pressure is on his face. The Chiefs and the Titans will bring that pressure and their front seven will test our OL. Josh has got to bring his A-game (like against Dallas two years ago or Seattle last year) against those two opponents. Looking forward to great games by Josh. Go Bills.
And add Lamar, Watson are on that list as well and QBs like Burrow could join that company. AFC is indeed loaded and is going to be a dog fight for years to come...just like we had. Boomer, Elway, Kelly and Marino in the AFC those days.
