The dead cap hit for letting go Ford and Star are monstrous. You save about 1.5M in cap for each of these players and you will have to spend more than that to get the save average skill sets. We are going to retain them for upcoming season.

Morse - Has minimal dead cap and a big salary. I can see him as a cap casualty. Star and Ford - Cutting them doesn't help on any big savings as their cap hit is very expensive. Our two safeties are going to make about $21M together with a total of $8M in cap hit. Either one could be a casualty. Looks like we are also on the hook to pay a lot of money for * Ed Oliver - by picking his 5th year option * Gabe Davis and Knox....If you want them for the long term core of your offense you will have re-sign them. Tannehill has been fine for them. People don't give him as much credit as he deserves. Trubisky would be really good with Tampa Bay and its star studded offense. That line will give him the necessary protection and those WRs are really great.
