Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”
QCity replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
After Monday any UFA signings no longer count against the comp pick formula. There will be a rash of signings around the league (as there is every year). -
I think a better question is who doesn't know Nick Bolton is their MLB? I mean he was 2nd in the league in tackles lol

Had to reach for a need without that 4th rounder.

He's already breaking down. Won't last.

Danny's South right by the stadium has $.10 wings on Monday nights but you have to order 2 drinks. Funny, blue cheese is $1.00 extra -- the price of 10 wings. I believe during the week Tue/Wed/Thu they are $.30 which is still an amazing deal nowadays.

a 2024 1st round pick is valued as a 2nd rounds pick today. Future assets are devalued typically by 1 round.

Not a bad deal for the Jets, they essentially got him for two 2nd round picks.

I hope it's true. Right now there isn't a proven goaltender on the roster, and entering the season as-is would be insanity. Could you imagine if the unthinkable happens and Levi goes down for the year in October and we're forced to try to run it back with UPL and Comrie? We'd likely be flushing (another) entire season down the drain. It would be devastating for both the team and the fanbase. Bring in a vet backup like Valamov or Andersen on a 2-year deal to mentor/shepherd in the Levi era. A competent GM shouldn't have any issues moving a young goalie like UPL with his minimum salary.

Nothing that we can handle. $13.1M this year and $14.2M next year so you can forget about this pipe dream.

18M? 😂

It's an interesting stat but I think it proves more about the old "correlation does not equal causation" adage. A month ago when this collapse was just starting Mule was on the ice for the ridiculous Blue Jackets loss, the 7-1 beatdown by the Bruins, and whatever you want to call that 10-4 goal loss to the Stars was. He's no more the key to the Sabres winning than Poyer is to the Bills winning.

Fantastic quote. "How dare you talk about something I don't understand! Now excuse me, I'm going to spend my next 12 hours analyzing what some 30-something UFA ate for lunch on Instagram and why it means he's signing here"
-
And a correct one.

FA is not over yet.

He's creating and deleting posts because it's become abundantly clear to his camp that we aren't going to come close to meeting their long-term contracts wishes. We'll likely lose him for nothing after this year, so I'm not sure why so many want to die on the Oliver hill.

BBB lol

Why was the team "WAY over the cap just a week ago?" Sounds like you're praising the guy who started the fire for putting it out. Whenever you see a GM restructuring that much money it's telling that something has gone wrong, and there's no amount of homer spin that can hide it.

You got 1 out of 3 correct.

We went "all-in" last year with the Von Miller signing. You don't get to go all-in every year. Do some of you not understand how this works?
