    Kid was making a play. Nothing unnecessary or dirty about it. It’s not a meaningless game to those with their careers and playing time on the line.

    What changed was the law suit was actually filed and it became a national story. The team became heavily scrutinized and it obviously became a distraction. If none of that happens then I’m sure Araiza is still on the team.

    The whole it was just an allegation in July but now it’s a civil suit logic BB gave was weird. The civil suit is still just an allegation. The only difference is now it’s public and the world hates your team for employing a guy accused of raping a minor.

    They cut him because this became a national story and we were getting mercilessly scrutinized. We did it to save face. It was still the right thing to do.

    From what I’ve heard it’s pretty much a given that Kern will be cut. I’d be surprised if we trade for him though.
