I don’t really care about replacing Moorman because we’re still talking about a punter. This isn’t the drought years. People act like Araiza was one of the best punters in the league. He’s a guy with a strong leg and that’s it. He’s similar to Bojorquez and his ability to consistently hold well is still a question despite a handful of preseason snaps.

Finding an average or even slightly below average punter shouldn’t be difficult. Haack was literally one of the worst punters in the league last year. Can you really say whether he had a positive or negative impact on the outcome of our season? It’s not that serious.

Jordan Berry or Brett Kern. But we’re still talking about a punter so who cares?

This is a pretty damning thing for a leader of this team to say. It basically sounds like Hyde believes the right thing to do is move on from Araiza.

Speaking for myself I just don’t think it’s worth the distraction. He may eventually clear his name but I’d rather have our HC and team focused on LA instead of having to answer for our punter.
