  1. Chan will be safe, barring an epic collapse, and we will draft a QB, who likely will be groomed next year--which means Fitz will be back for at least half of the season. And if this D keeps playing the way it is, Wanny will be safe too. Wish someone in the Bills organization would speak up. This team's woes are more than not being consistent, and not "fitting it up." We have a QB whose arm was bad last year, and is even worse this year--how that is possible, considering the guy is in his prime, I don't know--an overly-conservative HC who prefers to have opposing defenses dictate our plays when everyone knows our only strength is running, a DC whose stubborness and lack of creativity caused one of the worst two game stretches in modern NFL history, a GM obsessed with drafting CBs when he should be obsessed with drafting QBs, and a frail owner whose role is undefined to this fan. There needs to be a change somewhere if we Bills fans will be realistically hoping for a playoff berth next season.
  2. Brilliant! Chan's record is 14-29. I say let's try losing. We're certain to win. 29-14 would look pretty good, no?
  3. The Bills could pass all day, not run CJ at all, and still win easily.
  4. Tell the truth. We're always looking for the next franchise QB. It's really simple.
  5. Serious question. Who makes these decisions to "swing"? Buddy Nix? Russ Brandon? Mr. Wilson? Keyser Söze? If so, who MADE these decisions? Is Brandon a good CEO? Is he involved in personel issues, or just the financial and marketing ones? Would love someone to seriously break down how decisions are made at the top level, and the chain of command, etc. Cause with a frail owner, and a GM whose said Gailey isn't leaving, 13-plus years of no playoffs, and three years into a fruitless rebuilding campaign, who's going to call any potential management change in the offseason? I see one of two things happening (none of them involve a new coach or GM): We keep the same guys and draft a QB in the first or second. We make a play for a big name guy, like Vick, to get fans buzzing again (like they did with TO) and to stop whining.
  6. He's Fitz, you do know that? ... Right? Enough of the retreads already. Let's get one in the draft, have him mentored.
  7. Maybe the "sweet smell of Tom Coughlin" has by now overtaken the "stink of Jauron"? Not advocating it one way or another, but I do remember how much more energy the team showed when Fewell took over. Also remember, as at least one poster here pointed out, some of you all bitchin' about Fewell's D. In addition, I thought yesterday's team didn't show as much energy as the Colts did. Disappointing. But isn't this moot? Barring an epic collapse, hasn't Nix already said Gailey was in one more year? And.. are we just being fickle here? Two weeks ago all of us--myself included--wanted Wanny's head on a pole. Now, the D is playing with fire, and the offense sucks. Now, few are talking about firing Wanny and nearly everyone is talking about firing Gailey. If this offense hits all cylinders for the remaining games do we still call for Gailey's head? What about the D? If it continues its hot streak, do we forgive Wanny for the epically bad D the first half of the year? Do we look at Gailey's horrible record with the Bills, or his potential? Bottom line, my call is both of these guys do just enough to save their jobs, and that enough of us will be duped into the potential part. Ownership doesn't seem to have a handle on how to run anything. Year Four of the Rebuild is upon us. I don't see any major changes coming, other than a QB in the draft, who will probably need a year of mentoring anyway.
  8. It's easy for us to sit here after the fact saying what he should've done. But, yeah, I was blown away that we punted on the 40. Seems as if it was worth the shot at the time and now.
  9.
  10. No opinion on the 90s throwbacks. (Feels weird saying 90s and throwback in the same sentence). But I would want to see them get rid of those fugly white collars. Such a stunning uni, only to be sullied by what looks like a rugby shirt underneath.
  11. Wish someone would take that 52-second string of comedic bumbles with some cut ins of Rex saying Unf***ing believable with the Bennie Hill theme. Someone with video skills, please make it happen.
  12. Disappointed I can't read this paper's stories anymore due to the paywall. Just don't see the point in paying for access for (football only) articles in a paper that doesn't cover where I live. How many readers does this site send to the Buffalo News, increasing ad views? Seems like a bad policy. Maybe readers can copy and paste entire articles here, assuming that's not a violation of TBD policies. Can't be the only person frustrated by this.
  13. The more the Jets lose, the more of a chance we have to get into the playoffs. Go Pats*! Yeah, I said it. Can't bring myself to root for Brady. But yeah, go freakin Pats. Oh yeah, and go Stephen Gostkowski, my fantasy kicker. My dream: NE 30 (10 FGs) Jets 2.
  14. An automatic point? Why doesn't every team just get a magic point just for showing up? No thanks. I would be happier with more 2 pt conversion attempts, as well as more 4th down tries, and fewer punts, though.
  15. We lost to backups. Good ones, OK. Maybe even great. We needed the win to get in. They were not only in but had homefield locked. End of story. No more excuses from this fanbase, please.
  16. Fascinating. I pegged losses against Seattle and NYJ and still found a reasonable way to make it to a 6th seed (against Baltimore). It appears as if Indi is more crucial than I even thought before. Man, that Titans loss might really make a lot of us sick next month.
  17. Run game sucks. Secondary, suspect. And the offense is basically M. Stafford throwing the bomb to C. Johnson. No rhythm to this offense at all with the games I've seen.
  18. Thanks for this thorough analysis. Gives me hope that not only he can dominate, but that this team will have a shot at making a Wild Card. On another note, he may not be as impactful as Reggie White, but at $100 m, he sure ain't a "poor man's Reggie White."
  19. That defense really fit it up. More please. (Who's Meatball? K. Williams?) Welcome! That D was what I was expecting in preseason. Could be the most fun game I've ever watched with no offensive TDs.
  20. He had a monster game against a tough run defense. 4.1 YPC, 91 yards, 20 long. He tried to make some plays, and was shut down in only a few. When Freddie comes back, and getting 25 percent of the carries (hopefully), CJ's YPC will go back up.
  21. D is showing up. Hopefully, we can get the passing game going.
  22. Bush: We know the truth. What's wrong with B-lo women? Nothing! You like dudes.
  23. Unless miracles happen, our D isn't stopping Reggie Bush. Still think we pull off a win though. Gut feeling.
