  1. As a UGA grad, I would love for the Bills to draft him. Think he has the tools to be good in the NFL. Was brilliant Saturday against Kentucky. Have seen three games this season, and he's been better in each one. Accuracy, poise and leadership seem pro caliber. Good arm. Doesn't telegraph his throws. Offensive scheme, to my eye, appears to be pro-style. At least compared to Kentucky.
  2. If your monsters aren't doing anything, and this highly-paid group clearly isn't, then it's time to bring in more monsters with a blitz once in a Blue Moon. You just don't do the same thing and hope results. With all due respect, it is the scheme. This team was bewildered by the no-huddle the first two drives for crying out loud. There were gaps larger than the Red Sea for Johnson to stroll through. No pressure on the killer last drive. That is coaching.
  3. This game, as well as the three blow-outs, was on the DC. But it's too early to fire him. The bye is next week. This team has the talent to play well. If he doesn't have this D playing respectable football by the Pats game, I say you have to fire hm. This is just embarrassing. Fitz played a decent game yesterday, one INT aside, and he's not playing badly enough overall to be benched for Wilson or Thigpen. Some call that a lateral move at best, I call it backward. Gailey called a good game; he deserves until the end of the year to right the ship.
  4. The highest score ever was 73 points by the Bears in 1940. If the Texans scored that, would Wanny get fired?
  5. Like one poster's Borg Defense. Others: The Colander Defense. The Irrelevants. Wanny's Wannabes
  6. ...make we wanna get the procedure in the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind so I can erase my addiction to this hapless team.
  7. If arsenic is found in his Metamucil, the cops know where to look first...
  8. How come we didn't zig left when we should've zagged right? Given a different score, and a missed 2-pointer, you'd be asking why we didn't kick a PAT.
  9. This ideaology, if you can call it that, does seem utterly boneheaded given this team's lack of ability to get to the QB with four, and its overall epically bad D.
  10. C'mon. You're really saying this AFTER the game? It could have easily have haunted us, given a different score. He called a good game. This Chan bashing has to stop. He did not give up all those yards to C. Johnson, or throw that INT.
  11. Chan's play calling was good today--we scored a hella lot of points. He did not throw the INT. And he did not give Chris Johnson 5,000 yards, or give up the winning TD.
  12. Mr. Wilson was calling the plays?
  13. Wanny is a loser. Fitz is what he is, played a good game, made the worst possible throw at the end at the worst possible time. Despite the criticism, Gailey called a good game...until the very end...much like the Cardinals game. Mario is a ghost. Wanny is a loser.
  14. Fitz delivers what fans have been waiting for: Consistent accuracy on short and medium passes, and better than horrible accuracy on deep ones. Homers then say he's a franchise QB. Naysayers say bring on Thigpen, it's only an anomaly. Others: One pick. CJ Spiller and F Jackson both have stellar days. TJ Graham catches a bomb. Chandler has a huge day. S. Johnson has a lot of yards, but doesn't find the endzone. D line performs just OK. One sack. Nothing special, but nothing bad, against a solid O line. Chris Johnson explodes. 110 yards, 2 TDs. Two INTs against an overly confident Hasselback. We don't use the Wildcat. We score on a trick punt return. :flirt: We win a close one in a high scoring affair, 38-36.
  15. Couldn't even read the whole thing. Pure cynicism. It's unhealthy. And it's dishonest reporting.
  16. Are you kidding? His look is 100 percent stoner. His eyes look baked even when he's not getting sacked 10 times in a game. And Billy Joe Hobert's knowledge of the playbook.
  17. And the stoner aloofness of Jay Cutler.
  18. The toughness of Jim Kelly. The smarts of Fitzpatrick. The completeness of Rodgers. The tactical expertise of P. Manning. The swagger of Joe Namath The mobility of Griffin. Jim Fitzrodmanath III. ...Or a Fitzpatrick who can throw good.
  19. That's why our defense is putrid? Gap control? Sounds like a Prince song. Is that what Wanny means by "fit it up?" Seriously--why can't we have a two-gap system in a 4-3? Our D sucked in a 3-4. It sucks even worse in a 4-3. I really don't understand all of this. Seems to me it's a simple case of our D line not getting any pressure, teams adjusting properly, and Wanny not having the ability to play the chess game with solid O coordinators. Twice, teams have exploited our pass heavy D, with one or two LBs, with a run attack. Three times, our philosophy of not blitzing has bit us in the ass. Seems to me this is a simple lack of ferociousness by the D line, poor play calling, stubborn committal to philosophy, and the inevitable mistakes of two young CBs.
  20. WNY, after that game, it went downhill for the Bills. Hopefully, this game is the opposite. I have good feelings about it. Desert healing and all. Two straight weeks of humiliation. Believe it or not, I'm actually considering starting the Bills D in my fantasy league. Fully aware of the potential stupidity of that...but like I said, call it a feeling.
  21. Didn't you hear the coaches? It's neither the DC or the talent. The problem is not having "mental toughness." And not "fitting it up." We get mental toughness and fit it up, we'll be right as rain.
  22. That is the magic zone. The .8 seconds in which Fitz becomes an elite QB. Could happen.
  23. ...I would, however, give the Bills the slight edge over actual cardinals. Religious or avian variety.
