  1. Yes. Because, as I stated, we were a run first offense, because, as I also stated, Rex wanted a ground and pound.
  2. He also has, by far, the fewest amount of attempts at 436. This was a run-first offense that led the league in rushing. By that very fact, you should be surprised if his passing yards were high. On another note, he also had one of the lowest interception rates and I believe he led the league in quarterback rushing. I understand if you don't like his ability, and there are several things not to like, but don't let that interfere with your logic. You're cherry picking. It's a valid point that next year's season could be in doubt after dumping Tyrod. Our offense was pretty good. And he is not the reason we didn't go to the playoffs.
  3. He led the league in passing under Year 1 of Kelly. Not his fault Chip failed to adjust. He could be a more than capable backup.
  4. This either or argument makes no sense. Why can't we draft high for a QB (like Mitch if he's a fit) AND keep Tyrod?
  5. McCoy was the entire offense, and he's electrifying. A list that uses metrics and evaluations that do not include this amazing football player is garbage.
  6. I thought you were trolling, or pushing 86, but then I saw the part about the red hat. You know what they say about guys who wear red hats after all. There's only one kind of guy who'd wear a red hat. We don't need no red hat-wearing QB. We need a QB who wears YELLOW hats ... or maybe taupe ... but no red thank you.
  7. I feel your pain. You are a good dad.
  8. I'll enjoy watching him. Wish he could of made it work here but this guy is probably well suited for broadcast.
  9. I not only have a degree in Journalism but in "NewsPAPERS" ... in 2001. What was I thinking?
  10. He is a good receiver, made even better by a great QB and system. Great clubs develop and retain value talent. Bad clubs squander it and follow shiny objects.
  11. We bash guys for bashing us. We bash guys for praising us. Seventeen years of failure have made us a miserable, jaded lot.
  12. I would just say the enthusiasm here in general for pro sports is pretty low.
  13. Can we just trade with the Patriots*? Like the whole team?
  14. Mmm k. On any other Sunday that stadium is an opera. Southerners prefer college football and there are more transplants in the city than Atlantans.
  15. As an Atlantan, he's right. The majority of the city is not excited.
  16. Thouroughly rooting for the Falcons.
  17. Just say no to Smoking Jay.
  18. Can we call it informed speculation?
  19. We had a top 3 D under Schwartz (which helped us win more games than our game-management offense) and the game that put us over .500 was with NE backups. Marrone quit on his team because he couldn't get past his ego and Hackett was one of the most uninspiring OCs in recent memory. I won't expend any energy wishing bad will on them, but if they failed, I wouldn't be upset.
  20. Tim Horton?
  21. I hope so. Damn, Childress and Olson are uninspiring.
  22. The Chiefs run a game manager offense, have for years. I hope this style isn't coming to Buffalo. Incredibly unexcited about Childress and Olson.
  23. Zach Brown was a beast and led the NFL in tackles.
  24. 4.5 thoughts until the feed broke: McD looks cool, confident and in charge. I like him so far. Poor Whaley looks castrated and defeated. Jerry Sullivan, the eternal hack with one shtick -- relentless negativity -- needs to lay off. I'd like for the Bills organization to grow some balls and question The News' performance, which from my viewpoint is not playoff worthy either. Mmm...Buffalo Water™.
