Kaepernick to start on Sunday
Just in Atlanta replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are many things I don't like about this country, and many things wrong, including cops shooting ALL people, so why don't we all don't celebrate the anthem to protest everything? In his protest, he is willfully disenfranchising himself from his own country. His "protest" is not enlightening, it's just lame. He's not brave, he's a spoiled, coddled millionaire who became rich in the very country he's protesting. Worse, impressionable kids are mindlessly following him. I hope he's bludgeoned Sunday, and every Sunday after that. -
I also heard pundits calling this Rams game ugly. Our pass game was a bit underpar, but this was a thrilling win, complete with a stout running game, a decent pass rush, lights out run D and an acceptable pass D. Overall, with our injuries, on the road, I don't think this was ugly at all.

Should the Bills move on from Dareus?
Just in Atlanta replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lol. The TSA couldn't run a laundromat. If you don't think we all give off non verbal clues, I don't know what to say. The ADD thing is BS. He may have it but the story is pure spin. -
Should the Bills move on from Dareus?

Everything about his body language suggested he wasn't telling the truth. A simple apology would've been fine. This whole ADD treatment is nonsense. -

An Oral History of Bill Belichick
Just in Atlanta replied to BringBackOrton's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is this awful sight? -
Today, Rex Ryan faces off against his nemesis, who has beaten him 11 out of 15 times. A few days ago, I was in Phoenix, and three people asked me the exact same question (!) following Ryan's stunt with Julian Edelman at the presser: "Would Bill Belichick do that?" they asked, after I said the joke was pretty funny. The answer of course is, "No, because Bill Belichick is a dull, sterile bastard." The implication of this question is that champions don't make jokes or have fun. Since Bill Belichick, the greatest coach of our generation, is a dull, sterile bastard at press conferences, one must emulate him to be a champion. And, since Rex Ryan over the past few years has been mediocre, his actions and personality are the reasons behind his said mediocrity. Following the Jets game, a renewed wave of Rex hate hit fans, particularly on this board. Clown. Buffoon. Jackass. Just a few words we used to describe him. How could Rex' vaulted D get carved up by Ryan Fitzpatrick? "His antics are getting old," we complained. And they are. Because we were losing. But what if we were winning? Last week, we won convincingly -- at all stages of the game -- against a Cardinals team that, on paper, was considerably better than us. The furor on this board died considerably, although there were still a few "Get off my lawn" types who were upset at Ryan punking Edelman. (Which is ridiculous -- press conferences are a joke in and of themselves.) And what if the roles were reversed? What if Bill Belichick were the one with the mediocre record, and Rex Ryan the one with an insanely good one? We'd all -- Pats* fans included -- be calling Belichick "arrogant," "passionless" and "weak." Fans would clamor for a head coach with gumption, with a sense of humor, with a demonstrable lust for the game ... a Rex Ryan type. Bank on that. Bill Belichick has no respect for the media. But it's the media who fall at his feet and reprint the same bull **** "one day at a time" lines week in and week out. It's obnoxious. I would argue -- strongly -- that Belichick has little respect for the fans, too. He's not being natural -- I guarantee you he's not nearly as much of a dull, sterile bastard in real life. This guy is in the entertainment business, whether he realizes it or not. We pay good money, and spend serious time, watching our teams. It's an escape. Yeah, he obviously delivers on game day, but these Belichick press conferences are a waste of everybody's time. And time is the most important resource we have. Which brings me to my point. The assumption that Rex Ryan-coached teams suck because of his antics is a logical fallacy. His scheme against the Jets may have been awful and his lack of a pass rush last year was borderline criminal, but is that because of his boisterous personality? Of course not. No more so than the idea that a coach should dress up like a homeless person in wrinkled, baggy khakis and cut-off sweatshirts to be a winner. Should a coach cheat, too? (Don't answer that one.) Rex may very well deserve to be fired at the end of the season. Or, he may have the chops to take us to a post season berth after 16 years of futility with six (!) other coaches. I honestly don't know if this guy is a champion in the waiting or not. But one thing is sure -- I hope he doesn't change his personality for anyone.

Rex Crashes Edelman's Conference Call
Just in Atlanta replied to Bills Fan in MD's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Glad to see most fans here don't have their little panties in a bunch. That was funny, and harmless. The level of of Rex hate has been obnoxious. Sports should be fun. -
It must be amazing to be you, and very sad to be surrounded by so many dimwitted people.

Wow, are you really upset at this? It's a mildly amusing and harmless quote and makes press conferences watchable. People really need to get a sense of humor.

Jets message board RE: Fitz
Just in Atlanta replied to Thirdborn's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ESPN: Fitzpatrick threw six (yes, six!) interceptions in the New York Jets' 24-3 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. He is the first quarterback to throw zero pass touchdowns and six interceptions in a single game since Tom Tupa in 1989. This after carving up our secondary like a juicy turkey. WTH? -
Today's prognostication...
Just in Atlanta replied to The Senator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't see us pulling this out, but I have to believe we take care of bidness against the Pats. -
Gllmour (and Rogers Waters) also said something about feeling "comfortably numb" and "feeling a little sick" at first. That's me at this point. The ad that pops up by the way in this thread is for maternity clothes by Zullily. The ad shows a fully pregnant woman. So, we have that at least.

Why do people think the offense will change
Just in Atlanta replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Because Lynn wants to get the ball in playmakers' hands and get first downs unlike Roman. <sarcasm> -
Roman almost Kapernicked Tyrod!
Just in Atlanta replied to Jobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tyrod Taylor won't last four games cutting it loose. He doesn't have the frame for it. Development is painful. One can only look at what Haley did with Roethlisberger. First two years were awful. Turned a scrambling and reckless(ly successful) gunslinger into a drop back QB, and made him lose weight. Fans screamed bloody murder. Now, they have one of the most explosive offenses around. Firing Roman I fear is going to stunt his growth. And letting him loose is a one-way ticket to the IR list. Hope I'm wrong. -
Anthony Lynn, new OC
Just in Atlanta replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This guy clearly wants to score points. Too many offensive coordinators before him we're not concerned about scoring points. The NFL today is all about scoring points. What a breath of fresh air. -
He's probably a nice guy, but he's a professional fraud.
