Please don't call people you don't even know idiots. Just because he didn't live up to your hopes, or was a choice you didn't want, does not make him one. Pure ugliness. It sounds as if Lynn, given his extreme lack of experience at the upper levels of coaching, will be a yes-man to Whaley, hence his position as No. 1 candidate. Let's not forget that the pass game was at the bottom of the NFL heap and that the offense was pretty good last year, too, before we give him too much praise. Sure do hope this GM and owner know what they're doing.

Tyrod Taylor - pick up the option

Please stop this. To blame Tyrod for the Raiders debacle is nonsense. And Tyrod threw an awesome game in Seattle. So tiresome. -
Guess how many teams...
Just in Atlanta replied to metzelaars_lives's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mr. Beef Jerky said "OK... This means absolutely nothing." I was responding to that. I also agree with you that it doesn't mean everything. But I get worried when posters say "we need to blow it all up." We have done a lot of good things this year. Blowing it up would negate a lot of that. As most fans are, I'm tired of the constant turnover. We need to find a way to have consistency if were ever going to make the postseason. -

Wow. I'm not saying Taylor is the guy, or not, but do you think maybe the logic here might need a little work? To recap: we have scored the third highest amount of touchdowns in the entire NFL. Touchdowns are worth points. You win games by scoring points. But that means nothing? -
I can't say I agree or disagree, but the one thing that perennially bad teams (Browns, Bills) have is coaching changes every two years and the one thing good teams (Steelers, Pats*, Seahawks) have is coaching consistency. I always think of how much Steelers fans hated Haley. The first two years of this offense were a disaster. He wanted to make Roethlisberger into something he wasn't, fans said. They wanted him fired. Roethlisberger turned into that QB two years later, and have one of the best offenses in the league two years standing. Having said, that, Rex has worn me thin. He took a top 5 D, which now gets rolled on. One week it's the secondary. The next it's front seven. Does he need another year to make this work? Or have we seen the best he can offer? None of you know for sure, unless you're in the huddle. That is the only fact.

Mike Shanahan and Jay Cutler
Just in Atlanta replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
God no on Cutler. -
Why? What in your mind makes him a good coach, other than because he found a way to use McCoy, unlike his predecessor? We're dead last in the league in passing. Dead last. That's not all Taylor. He comes up with some good run games but I've seen very few complete game plans out of him other than Seattle, which we lost.

Be honest...who wants to lose to the Browns?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. It's that time of the season. Again. -

This thread's logic: "I love asparagus. Asparagus is definitely not my favorite vegetable, though." I love asparagus. Asparagus is definitely not my favorite vegetable, though. That guy HATES asparagus. -

Rex is our coach and we are planning for the Browns. I'd love it if he stayed. But I'll move on. No real difference between the two. You must be a hard person to please. -

The attitude of this board is terrible. The league is rightly saying it can run on these guys. Because it has, twice. Preston is acknowledging the team's bad play. Would you rather him lie and say they did well? How on earth is that an "immature" statement? And how did Gilmore "troll" AB? The only thing I heard is that he wants to cover him. And he did, pretty well. This nonsense is why athletes say **** like "one day at a time." -

He said he'd love it if Rex stayed. If he went, he'd move on. What should he have said? Would "Crawl in a hole and die?" be better? -
Russ Brandon and others...

Buffalo News seems to have had it with Rex Ryan

It stands to reason that with seven head coaches and twice as many starting QBs, six GMS, and two owners, there would be a constant source for our constant suckitude. -
[Misleading Title]Tyrod and blood sugar
Just in Atlanta replied to re enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well that explains it. -
The problem with these kind of posts is they put you squarely in a camp. If he lights it up and gets rid of the ball quicker, you will not budge. As soon as he reverts, you say "I told you so." I want him to succeed and feel he has the tools to do so. I am also willing to admit that the window to find his ceiling is shutting and that maybe he's reached said ceiling. As of now, our offense is predicated on explosive plays, not drives. This is not sustainable. But how much is Taylor and how much is the OC? He makes plays out of nothing, doesn't turn the ball over (until yesterday) and has a great deep ball. I'm rooting for him. He must also get rid of the ball quicker and see more of the field. We should continue drafting and bring in some competition. He played an amazing game in Seattle. He played an awful game yesterday. Am I in your CoT?

Seantrel Henderson suspended another 10 games

Legalize it. God damn. -
Taylor throws few interceptions and is the best running QB in the league, hand's down. He's a great deep passer. I find Rex Ryan entertaining. Tyrod Taylor and McCoy are fun to watch. Gilmore has picked up his slack. The D line looks great with Dareus back. Incognito is a beast. Carpenter hit a 52-yarder. Watkins is back! Has Rob Ryan lost weight?

The game we should win that we lose!

That's a very sound strategy. Sincerely, the Browns. Definitely? Like for realz?
