  1. Agree. I can see that; Ravens have only been getting better as the season has gone on. The 49ers will lose one or two by week 17. They probably should have lost Thursday night, but Kliff Kingsbury won it for them with this stupid TO at the end of the first half.
  2. But...butt...if we could just get a WR1 we would be all set. Common theme I've heard too much.
  3. I guess we'll find out. Maybe there's a chance that McD and Frazier fixed the problem. If they didn't, I wouldn't put it past AP.
  4. Not really. AP can still bring it and is a physical runner.
  5. I do. Football doesn't attract the brightest of individuals, in general. From what I've seen, a good number of posters know more than the fanbases of a lot of other teams. You seem to take any criticism of McD very personally, and I'm not sure why. There is a lot to be critical of; and yes, he does do some things right. From what I can tell, he's still learning on the job and still needs to get better.
  6. Right, because New England's fan base is a congressional library of football knowledge, same with Pittsburgh. Your statement is so far off a map can't even help it.
  7. I wouldn't relax about this. AP can still gash us for 200+ if McD and Frazier didn't make a few adjustments.
  8. I don't think it would hurt if Oliver put more mass on his frame - maybe about 20 lbs, it he is going to stay a 3 tech DT. If Oliver can't get off the Guard's block, he gets pushed out of the play.
  9. It WAS irresponsible...no arguing that. Just that the subject centered more on trades and the trade deadline during the season, not the draft which is it's own area.
  10. Yeah, we know, you don't like Whaley. You let everyone know on pretty much a daily basis. Never miss an opportunity to s**t on Whaley...
  11. I'm the type of Bills fan who has always been a Bills fan, for as long as I can remember. So a loyal Bills fan, and I plan to stay that way. I'm not sure I could learn to like any other team. Sure, I have a soft spot in my heart for teams that beat the Cheats, but they're not the Bills. So being a loyal fan since the early 1980s, living through the great early 1990s teams, I'm also a frustrated fan...like many on here. I'm doing my best to put up with this "Process" crap, and I hope it works. It better work.
  12. 3- SpT coordinator: we have Danny Crossman 2.0. I don't know where McD found Farwell, but he needs to be returned. McD has done a terrible job overall at picking his staff, especially his coordinators. 6- WR: I don't think it is a case that Josh doesn't trust his receivers, Josh just isn't an accurate passer on 20+ yard passes. I understand those are lower percentage plays, but he has to do a better job than overthrowing his WR by 5+ yards. 7- MLB: I don't see Edmunds being replaced. Edmunds is an athletic MLB whose job is to primarily covering the middle slot/short area. He assists the DTs in stopping the run. We need a good pass rushing DE (get rid of Murphy), as well as another one tech DT that can push the pocket back and stop the run. Star does not push the pocket back, he may occupy blockers, but he ain't getting to the QB...whether it is his job or not.
  13. They chose it because the Redskins are wearing this on their helmet:
  14. No one here should. Our coaching staff is not even close to what they have in NE.
  15. No, it shouldn't be that bad where they do a complete 180. This is a much better team than the 2008 and 2011 Bills. I still think the wind up 10-6 and get a wildcard spot.
  16. Good post and it is lost on many around here. It is too bad that Whaley's lack of public speaking skills brought about an unfavorable perception because it should have been Terry Pegula talking about the Rex firing, not Whaley given how the organization hierarchy is configured. Terry can't talk in public, nor did he want to give that press statement; anyone who has ever listened to him speak will arrive at that conclusion. If somehow we could have Whaley's pro personnel talent evaluation coupled with Beane's drafting, we would be all set personnel wise.
  17. Interesting. McD and Frazier were probably more concerned with Ertz and Goedert more than the run; they stopped the TEs for the most part. It didn't seem like they were interested in getting to Wentz, which makes sense why LorAx didn't get as much playing time - he's terrible in coverage. From reading other threads around here, a couple of plays were the deciding factor as well as Edmunds missing gap assignments and Hyde and/or Milano over pursuing on running plays where Philly saw this and took advantage of it. By halftime, the game was easily within reach. I could see how they wouldn't really adjust when the coaches figured some of the players just didn't make a couple of plays. Later in the 3rd quarter Philly started piling it on and put the game away. The offense wasn't going to win the game.
  18. McD is correct in his statement. He shouldn't ignore the fact that he has personnel and scheme issue that need to be solved.
  19. They, at least the Jets, did according to a part of the national media. The Jets were supposed to get second place in the AFCE. The Bills were supposed to be in third place and have no shot at a playoff spot.
  20. Everyone else has a WR1, so we need one too...apparently.
  21. Or a classic Harley motorcycle rider. You know, the bikes with the big white side wall tires, that fewer people are riding today. Good, because my cows are farting up a fierce storm. I'm also flying across country in my mostly empty airplane. Don't worry, I planted a couple of trees so I have carbon credits.
  22. Very true. Though McD needs to figure out how to stop his defense from getting gashed against the run, and in turn blown out. As stated above, when his defensive scheme works, it is very effective; when it doesn't, the defense is horrible. If he can't field a stable defensive scheme, what good is it? Maybe he needs bigger DTs who play more of a one tech. Maybe Star can line up in the one tech position. Something has to change, otherwise we will see the Redskins and AP put up 200 rushing yards against us.
  23. Sean, is that you? What are you going to do about the run defense? Why is your MLB still attacking the wrong gaps? Any plan for the DTs to be more effective? What did you drill into Daboll so he'll stop outsmarting himself with his play selection? He's your hand selected OC. Why are special teams making critical mistakes that give the opponent an easy 7 points? You hired your coordinator this past offseason, but he's basically Danny Crossman. Does the "Process" include making yourself better, as in game management/challenges? My fear is that the 5-2 record is a mirage. I wanted to believe McD turned the corner and the light came on as how to be a winning coach - and I mean against quality teams, not NYG, Cincy, etc, but I question that it has. The loss to Philly, though one loss to an NFC opponent, proves that he didn't fix what was wrong against Miami the previous week. I want to give McD the rest of this year to prove himself before leaning either way with him; it's only the half way point in the season and we're still in a good spot. Time to put up or shut up with the "Process."
  24. I'm sooo glad Leslie Frazier is our DC. Sounds really confident in his adjustments, which probably went something like "Star, you play the one tech rather than the three tech this week. You'll be in 90% of the game. Now get out there and occupy some blockers." That should do the trick.
