  1. I think a lot of us were wrong. John Harbaugh said this year's Ravens offense will be nothing like anything that has been seen before in the NFL. He's right.
  2. Coaching. It all starts with the HC. John Harbaugh is one of the best.
  3. Pats are going to put a helmet to helmet hit on Jackson, put him in concussion protocol for the rest of the game and a couple of weeks. They'll get away with it, too.
  4. Right...that Belicheat...he plays 20-D chess
  5. There is no way Daboll would configure an effective, run specific offense for Lamar Jackson, not like Roman has which I'm sure John Harbaugh insisted on.
  6. I'm going to enjoy watching the Ravens stomp the Cheats
  7. Not saying much for Star. Hope the duo of Taylor and Phillips is the answer to the run D problems. Let's see what next week brings...definitely a winnable game.
  8. The Browns really aren't that good. We will need to put some pressure on Mayfield so hope that McD and Frazier see the light on this one. If we can get some pressure on him, Mayfield will turn the ball over. Play the run game (Phillips and Taylor in the game) like we played the Redskins in the second half and we should be able to stop Chubb. Their defense is not impressive. Shouldn't have too many problems with it.
  9. I noticed Morse gets pushed back by the NT in 3rd and/or 4th and 1 plays where the O-line lowers their head and fires out into their D-line. Morse doesn't lower his head and push into the NT/DT to drive him back; I suspect he doesn't/can't do this out of fear of another concussion. So Morse really is not an effective Center in these short yardage situations.
  10. I saw the post game when they were discussing Philly, which rolled into discussing Buffalo. Terry does not like Buffalo, at all. Big NE fan, gushes over Brady. Howie is fair and gave the Bills their due. Buffalo will need to win out the next several weeks, which includes CLE, DAL, BALT, and DEN, to make the national media believe. Philly game exposed our weaknesses in all three phases, and the national media took notice.
  11. Baker Mayfield with the Minshew mustache and hairdo with head band
  12. Excellent point. Not sure what Miami's plan B is, but I hope it sucks.
  13. The Browns look terrible on defensive. We should be able to beat them next week in Cleveland
  14. Good points. I suppose Fitz doesn't want to tank for Tua. Miami has the Redskins, Bengals, and Falcons as competition for worst team. The only team I see as competition for Tua might be Cincy; I think the Skins believe in Haskins (who wasn't terrible) and Falcons will keep Matt Ryan. Not sure if the Bengals have their QB of the future.
  15. Yes, Star was in rotation during the first half, I saw plenty of him and AP's running stats proved he was in there - 8 for 99. I didn't see him in the second half, though saw plenty of Phillips and Taylor; AP's stats in the second half was 10 for 9...huge difference. If Star had significant playing time in the second half, AP would have had much more than 9 yards in the second half. Murphy had one sack in the first half. He did nothing after that (as usual), and he was in rotation in the second half. He was out briefly in the second quarter, I believe.
  16. This is accurate. Unfortunately the pollyannas don't get it.
  17. Terry Bradshaw on the Fox postgame was just saying that he thinks the Bills are a bad football team; they haven't beat anybody. Look, I am happy we're 6-2, but we lost to the only quality teams we've played - NE and Philly. We looked terrible against Philly, and we looked terrible in the first half against Washington, defensively. To McD's credit, the halftime adjustment was huge in stopping the Skins run game in AP where he got like 10 yards in the second half. Had we played a quality team today, I think our poor run stop D in the first half would have been enough to lose the game.
  18. Why did Miami want to win this game? That is what I don't get.
  19. In the second half? In the first half, yes, he was out there quite a bit. The second half I saw mostly J Phillips and V Taylor.
  20. I doubt they release Star before the end of this year, very cap prohibitive to do so ($6M hit).
  21. Star is useless, this game proved it if there was any doubt before. Once Vincent Taylor came in after half time and relegated Star to the bench, AP was shut down. By the end of the first half, AP was well on his way to 200 yards, but ended up 18 carries for 108. He was close to 100 yards by the end of the first half, alone. Get rid of Trent Murphy, too. High motor and DNA means nothing if you can't get sacks as an edge rusher. He is totally useless in run defense.
  22. Don't stop there, do the same with Trent Murphy.
  23. Honorable Mention: I'd include Vincent Taylor. His play benched Star and made a huge difference in stopping the run. AP was not a factor in the second half. Had the adjustment not been made by McD and Frazier, AP gets 200 yards.
  24. Vincent Taylor and Jordan Phillips as the one techs made a huge difference. Good adjustment at the half by McD and Frazier. Star is useless and didn't play in the second half.
