Right. I know by rule the last couple were PI, but it is so ticky tack.

Good question. Rivers doesn't get sacked a lot since he gets rid of the ball quickly.

I wonder if the Raiders will regret moving from Oakland. I mean, are they really going to get this type of crowd in Las Vegas?
-
Agree! Now it's Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara....lame.
-
Sad, end of the dual purpose stadium. I remember seeing many of those in the 80s and 90s.

John Cena at halftime looked to be filler, like Fox didn't have enough content to get through 15 minutes.
-
You saw him holding a clipboard and standing next to Chuckie?
-
They certainly did last January. I doubt they get that chance this year.

Raiders D is undisciplined. The Raiders could be up 16-7 if it wasn't for Offside on their DT.
-
True, they are, but they also keep the DBs from cheating up and clogging the short to mid lanes that do make up most of the passing game.

The problem with our run defense is simple…

Also has problems getting off the opposing o-line blocks; doesn't seem strong enough. If the d-line can't occupy blockers, Edmunds will not make a play when blocked. I partially blame a complex and rigid defense which we do not fully have the personnel to effectively run. -

Harrison got hurt week 3 against the Bengals. The rush D was pretty good for the next two weeks, then sucked after the bye at week 6. Doubt it was Harrison Phillips; most likely Brian Flores figured out how to beat our gap scheme. -
I was gonna say, I know the other team usually talks us up a bit; but "And he's accurate?" Maybe within 15 yards, but past that forget it. What is the element of surprise...that Josh is going to be accurate throwing the long ball?

I like the Raiders at +1.5. O/U looks to be 48-48.5, which is a lot of scoring. My hunch is the under.

Agree with the first sentence; this is a big reason why we're viewed so skeptically by the national media. I think this defense is built to stop Brady and his passing attack more so than it is to stop a mobile QB with a strong rushing attack. Throw in a dominant o-line and we don't have the horses for that (such as with Philly.) I don't worry so much about Cleveland since their o-line isn't the best and Mayfield isn't that good, just need to shut down Chubb primarily. I do worry about Baltimore and Dallas - very good o-lines and a strong rushing attack. Those are two losses.

Simple poll. Is Josh Allen improving as a passer?
Happy replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Allen is improving, but still has more to do. I'd rather have Josh than Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield. -
You're investing in a guy who has the potential to be a dominant pass rushing 3 tech DT. This investment will pay off; defensive line is a big transition from college because the pro o-linemen are better than anything Oliver saw in college. A WR is a little easier; understand the routes, run them and catch the ball. If it was up to you, we wouldn't even draft defensive players.

I sincerely hope they would hang up on us. Terrible suggestion.

Belichick, while probably not religious and not having a faith based environment in NE, has built a culture. "Do you job" is accountability and contributes to a culture; you're accountable to the guy next to you. While I would believe a good number of guys in NE wouldn't step in traffic for Belichick, they do appreciate what he does and respect him. The players know they are part of something bigger than themselves and team is stressed before self. If you think about it, the Patriots believe in second chances, so Belichick would be more religious than McD...I know, a stretch. Think about it - would the Bills bring in AB, Josh Gordon, or Randy Moss? How about Albert Haynesworth or Michael Bennett? True, not all worked out (mostly the player's fault and not the organizations), but they got a second (or third) chance. The Pats bring in players who they know have the ability to fit their system and not force a square peg in a round hole. Culture is just a belief system and particular way of how something is done, and "The Patriot Way" is an example of culture. So culture is not completely overrated, just what type of culture you have makes all the difference. I'm sure all the typically good teams have some sort of culture - 49ers, Seahawks, Steelers, for example. Then there are teams like the Browns and Jets; what is the culture there? I doubt the Browns have any; building a roster based on big name talent won't work. Agree with what you said about McDermott. Jauron was a good man and DB coach. Gailey is a good man and OC. The last two were not good head coaches and did not bring in enough talent. McD is bringing in talent, though thus far he is too conservative a HC leading to coaching "not to lose" which just makes you lose against good teams. It is also how he is using the talent which can be questioned - his scheme; lots of debates on this board about the topic. So the Bills are building a good culture, where they didn't have one previously, but coaching is still evolving, IMO. So culture matters, but McD's coaching philosophy will have to mature to be able to maintain, and grow, the culture he is building as well as find and retain talent. If it does not, well, no one likes losing and talent will want to move on. -

Then it's off to the Browns or Jets with you. -
VA Brewery Introduces "Sell the Team IPA" for 'Skins Fans
Happy replied to Nextmanup's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I don't see it, either; at least not at this point. Which is why the fans need to stop buying Redskins tickets, gear, and stop paying attention to them. Snyder is arrogant, always has been; but he does know business. When he sees a business hurting financially, he will make changes; now whether the light comes on and he realizes the change needs to begin with himself, is up for debate. -

They need to try something. Perhaps this is a start. Fans also need to stop buying tickets, season or per game; that will send the strongest message.
