  1. Bride sounds like a piece of work and quite entitled. If I only gave a couple of hundred dollars, I'd tell them keep it, it is your gift...just don't expect more. If I gave a couple of thousand, like the aunt did, I'd want a lot of it back. Can't imagine the bride and groom are going to have a lot of friends after pulling that one.
  2. I think a lot of us are all for taking Murphy off the field, I just don't think moving Oliver to DE is the way to go about that. Oliver is a rookie and it shouldn't be a surprise that he is struggling against professional C's and G's, who are much better than anything he saw in college. I do think Ed needs to gain about 20 lbs and get more strength, just from what I've noticed.
  3. I think a win against the Patriots and/or a better showing against Philly would alleviate some of these concerns. Some Bills fans know we have Dallas, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and NE coming up again; three of those can easily be losses. Cleveland and Denver will be no cake walk and are winnable games, yet there is concern that the Bills will lay an egg on one of these games. No one wants to see potentially 11-5 slip to 9-7 and needed help again just to get to the playoffs.
  4. Horrible defense. Zone D is such a liability if the safety doesn't pick up the pass off from the CB
  5. Total BS. Wasn't PI at all. Ball was overthrown
  6. Looks like PI. Defender got there before the ball
  7. Wow. Barkley is amazing
  8. Steelers and Broncos are very winnable games
  9. That Cowboy O-line is pretty nasty. We're going to have our hands full; LBs will be busy.
  10. Have to slide Danny
  11. Makes sense, now. Pretty funny.
  12. It was Browns -2.5, they weren't even getting the home field advantage spread. If i thought the Browns would squeak this game out, I'd jump all over a 2.5 point spread. I think the Bills will take this game; the Browns are a collection of big names and talent, not really a team that is held together by the coach. The Browns lost to Brandon Allen lead Broncos, who made his first career start in three seasons of being a backup.
  13. DE DT OL Need to get the trenches strengthened before we go skill positions.
  14. Would you say that Greg Roman is doing a much better job with Baltimore than he did in Buffalo? He didn't scheme his offense to Tyrod like he is with Jackson; I suspect this has a lot to do with John Harbaugh. I would guess that Rex left Roman to his own devices with TT, and it wasn't until Anthony Lynn took over OC and play calling responsibilities that Tyrod and the offense became top 10 in scoring.
  15. The Bills have been bad to mediocre for so long, it isn't a surprise the national media is skeptical. Start beating good teams and win a playoff game, then I think we'll get some attention. We can start by beating some combination of Pittsburgh, Baltimore, NE, and Dallas this season.
  16. Yeah. Saw a lot more of #96 and #97 more so than #98 in the second half.
  17. FIFY. I'd like to see more of Vincent Taylor and less of Star. I'm not sure why McD and Beane drafted Oliver to play a 3-tech if McD's scheme only works if the LBers stay clean. Seems that a 1-tech would have been a better pick. The DE's primarily rush the passer in the scheme with the DT's pushing the pocket back and occupying space to clog the middle run lanes. It almost seems like McD wasn't sure what he had in his current personnel and needed last April/May. Why do you say that? Phillips seems happy to be here and wants to succeed. I think he should get paid.
  18. Honestly, your defense is good, but was incredibly overhyped. I mean, better than the '85 Bears and 2000 Ravens? No way, your defense isn't in the same league as those teams. They just didn't face a team that exploited them like Baltimore did. You also have Philly, Dallas, KC, and Houston coming up after your bye week. Brutal schedule...
  19. This Pats D is outrageously overrated. They're not who we thought they were. The early 2000s Patriots D was better than this year's D; maybe not statistically, but in actual game day performance.
  20. In McD's scheme, the DTs are the first line of defense against the run. The MLB assists and needs to maintain his gap assignment, but Edmund's primary responsibility is covering the middle. This D is built to stop the pass, which is why it is important to have big DTs, not sub 300 lb DTs, to stop the run. That said, Edmunds will not move outside...he will stay at MLB as that is how the defense is designed. McD will have to change the fundamental design for Edmunds to move; I highly doubt he modifies the D scheme. IMO, the best we can expect is for personnel changes like we just saw - Taylor in, Peko out. McD is slow to make changes as demonstrated by sticking with Star.
  21. Not to be too much of a Negative Nancy, but I don't see this Bills team beating tonight's Ravens
  22. Exactly. That is the upper echelon, the rest are mediocre to very bad.
  23. Not completely true. Allen started out slow, but really pulled it together late second quarter on until the concussion.
  24. Patriots are pouting now they know the game is out of reach
