5 lbs...that's it? I'll bet he skipped his morning pastries.
-
I looked again; he did miss one game in 2015, his rookie season. Looks like that was concussion related. This isn't good.
-
Looks like he's ours through the 2020 season with a potential out in 2021 out leaving $5.5M dead cap. $26.175M of 2019-2020 is guaranteed, with $1.325M of 2021 salary guaranteed for injury. Got this from Spotrac. This will be an expensive mistake if he has to retire early. He missed 5 games last season and 9 games in 2017. At least some of those were for concussion protocol. Appeared to be ok before 2017.

How did Brady suffer a concussion last year? By slipping on a bath mat? You're not allowed to hit him while he's playing QB, so couldn't be from that.

Lorax: Healthy Trent Murphy is a game-changer

Not with Frazier. How many times did they blitz last year? I bet you could count them on one hand. -

2019 NFL Season: Your BOLD predictions
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. He just got a one year extension which takes him through the 2021 season, and an option for the 2022 season. There is speculation that Tomlin's seat is warm. -
2019 NFL Season: Your BOLD predictions
Happy replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The highlighted alone is probably the boldest prediction. The Steelers have never fired a coach (that I can remember), which would make Tomlin the first to get fired though it is probably time for him to go. Should create quite a stir from the media and pundits. -

The KC Chiefs go to the Super Bowl. This is bold because Andy Reid overcomes himself. -
Lorax: Healthy Trent Murphy is a game-changer

They largely have the same defensive line as last year, just swap out an aging Kyle for the rookie Ed Oliver. I'm not holding my breath that Oliver will make that big of an impact out of the gate. I suspect he will see that he NFL guards and centers are a lot better than what he saw while playing for U of H. If Murphy is injured, I don't think the pass rush will be formidable at all, coupled with the fact that Frazier tends not to blitz or stunt to overload the opponents weakest link on the OLine. -

Healthy is the operative word. McDermott and Beane are hanging a lot on Murphy being the player they hoped they found last year. If he's not healthy, the pass rush will suffer this year, again. -
So you would rather have a failing EJ Manuel than a rising Josh Allen? Maybe didn't understand your first sentence... Still a lot to be determined with the WR corps this year, and yes, we do have a bunch of 2, 3, and 4s but that may be enough; I am in the camp that you don't necessarily need a stud WR1 to be a complete team. Agree that a great QB props up the WRs, but so does an offensive scheme that can effectively utilize 2s, 3s, and 4s.

I understand what you're getting at, but let's give McDermott and this team a chance to show that the "process" is more than a platitude. I think those expecting 11-5 will be just as disappointed as those expecting 5-11. They're still a couple of players away from a deep in the playoffs team, as well as McDermott gaining more experience as a game day coach. It appears they are on the right track and this year will be indicative as to how close or far a McDermott lead team is or has to go.

Once the hype has been established, it tends to stay. Sammy is on his third team in going on his sixth season in the NFL; that averages two years per team which is not indicative of a "stud receiver." If he can't be what was expected when he was drafted in 2014, he'll be nothing more than another bust. He has the opportunity with the Chiefs in the Andy Reid offense and Mahomes as the QB.

If the starters stay healthy will Bills have #1 D in 2019?
Happy replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'll guess they'll be somewhere around 10-12. The secondary will be flat out good, but the front seven I'm not so confident about. Will they show improvement in stopping the run? Will they be able to get to the passer (I have my doubts on this)? Can they hold opponents to FGs in the red zone? Too many questions and unknowns to think the defense will be elite. -

Was hoping they would invite edge/DEs for a visit, but if these guys can rush the passer, fine. -
Tom Brady : Not winning Father Of The Year

Much to do about nothing. Tom Brady seems like a really good father. Can't stand him as a player, though. -
Who's Most Responsible for Pats* Dynasty: Brady or Belichick?
Happy replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Once Brady retires, I would suspect they will still be competitive but not dominant like they have been; assuming BB sticks around. Brady is a smart QB who has seen every defense thrown at him, executes their version of the E-P system to perfection, will be near impossible to replace.
