Will do. Sorry about that...I took the quote from your post since it was there. I forgot that it would be linked to you and not Badol. -
John Warrow’s High Praise For Beane & McDermott Regime

@BADOLBILZ "And as for the QB situation McD inherited.........he LITERALLY inherited the chance to select Patrick Mahomes with his first round pick...........the most valued QB and football player in the NFL right now." Mahomes landed in a much better situation in KC than he would have in Buffalo. I doubt he would be the same player had he been in Buffalo than in KC. That said, I'm excited about Josh Allen and think his ceiling is high; it might take another year or two to completely develop his potential. Not sweating passing on Mahomes. As far as McD is concerned, I'm on the fence and giving him this year before I start thinking about any conclusions on him as a coach. Personally, I think McD came in a little cocky and wanting full control without a track record to warrant such power. But the Pegulas gave him that. As stated by others, McD made some big mistakes in both player and coach selection. The player mistakes have already been discussed, so nothing to add to that. Coaching wise, the turnover in staff is telling. Very few remain from the start of his tenure in 2017. Could this mean that McD realized his mistakes and is not afraid to make necessary changes? Maybe...at least I hope this is the case. IMO, Leslie Frazier is the guy who probably needs a fire lit under him. We'll see if he is more aggressive in his defensive approach this coming season, especially since McD mentioning that he likes to see QB pressure; which is something that was missing last year. Bottom line, McD needs to be better than .500 this year. There is no reason why the Bills can't be 9-7 or 10-6 and playing meaningful games in December. -
Expect to see a different Trent Murphy in 2019

It Isn't financial as much as it is positional commitment. The F.O. did not really address the DE/edge position this offseason. Given Murphy's health track record, that is a big gamble. -

Right. This is why I lean toward expecting the defensive line to struggle a bit, at least early on in the season. Murphy may not live up to expectations, Lawson is 50/50, then there is not much else at DE save Hughes. I suspect Oliver will need some time to adjust to professional guards and centers and may not "live in the backfield" initially. Pressure will be on McD and Frazier to make adjustments; I don't think they will be able to rely on a four man rush to get pressure on the passer. -
I voted for Aaron Donald, but Mahomes will win.

Right, I agree, and that is probably what they'll do. It looks like the plan this season is to roll with what they got on the roster right now. -

Not so much contract dollar wise, but more position wise. They drafted a DE/edge in the fifth round, which I don't think really addresses the need in the position; to me that is more depth than starter potential. With the articles about Murphy supposedly looking better this year and the ACL injury behind him, it seems that they expect Trent to be a force this season. -

McD put a lot of his eggs in the Murphy basket, which could end badly. Though I hope Trent is the edge/DE they envisioned he'd be because the Bills need it. -
I'm wondering the same thing. Maybe we need another WR1 after this year, but let's see how this group works out. I do think we'll need a DE/edge since I don't believe the position was adequately addressed this off season; I'm not holding my breath on Murphy and Lawson still has more to show on his pass rushing ability.

Thinking of getting married? Try Halftime at Pats-Bills Game

The refs and the Pats* have been living together for so long, why even bother making it official at this point? Everyone already knows of this relationship. -

The Chargers are talented, though I suspect they'll have to go through KC to get to the SB. -

Ed Oliver 2019 Sack Total; Over / Under 9
Happy replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Under. Leslie Frazier doesn't like to scheme the defensive line to get an aggressive pass rush. -
I suppose it is possible that Dawkins improved during the off season...I hope so. He was the bright spot in a terrible line last year, though seems like the type of guy who needs a strong LG and C, such as when Richie and Eric were here. Dawkins seemed about average last year, but could be an unfair conclusion.

Probably LeSean McCoy's Last Year With Bills
Happy replied to Halloween Land's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get the Shady McCoy hate. He hasn't been a problem, and has actually been a good team guy. I hope he has plenty of gas in the tank and is able to at least somewhat return to form, then get an extension after this season. -
