    taxpayers have been subsidizing stadiums since the Roman empire. It hasn't been an issue yet because someone has eventually paid the bills but now with states and cities going bankrupt we can't assume the status quo will continue. Losing the NFL would devastate places like Buffalo and GB whereas losing it didn't phase LA.
