  1. I feel the same way. ***** happens but it just keeps piling on and it’s hard to shrug off. Honestly; it’s less about me than the players going down that bums me out. These guys work so hard and the end result is a messed up body. On the other hand at least you get guys will get a shot.
  2. He's a really good player. Might be getting up there in age but that motor keeps on going.
  3. Folks, there's an article about Bill Belichick and Nick Saban's relationship, really good read from 5-6 years ago maybe, think it was SI. Anyway, Saban unearthed Daboll and recommended Brian for the job up NE. Told Belichick, he's one of us, so he had the prodigy label from an early age. It also helped that he's coached a long time, and coached both sides of the ball, and a few positions. He's earned his stripes. I like Daboll, think he's a good coach, but early last season, before the Jets game where Josh banged up his elbow, Allen looked fine without Daboll. We've had a bunch of turnover on O staff, Tierney was another guy, a guy Daboll brought with him, that Josh liked. Adjust or die in this league, has to figure it out, football hasn't changed, just needs to stop trying to make the insane plays. Take the 5 yard hitch or the 4 yards shallow cross, live to fight another down. Wish we still had Daboll for the continuity.
  4. Had one really nice throw to Pierce. Other than that there wasn’t much. But that one throw was really good. Let’s see, he’s going to be up and down.
  5. In the article he says he won't settle, but we all know how that goes when the lawyers get involved.
  6. The play calling was on point. Just look at what they were doing with some of their playaction passes, faking QB wrap runs with pulling guards and throwing the rock. As good as Josh was executing so was the playcalling, simply money.
  7. Relax folks, Cole also played with Romo. His opinion, not really a huge knock. We've all seen Allen with that dazed look at times behind the center, he's grown out of it but we still get flashes of it.
  8. If Shakir gets targets he's gone to ease everyone's concerns, dude is a stud, just needs run.
  9. Man I can't believe he's 27, dude is getting up there.
  10. We should change the thread title to "MEET OUR NEW WHIPPING BOY."
  11. White is a consistent underperformer relative to his draft slot, I only bring up his slot because it's all he's living off of. His NFL production is subpar, good blitzer though. Edit: ^ You posted those stats right as I hit send. But at least those "grades" match with my eye test. Guy can get after the QB, he's quick, but everything else is just nothing to write home about.
  12. I look at this number though, and man, it's good.
  13. I also have to do a double take when a cost controlled WR is being shopped, rumors about him since last season, when you just paid Wilson all that money and you need him to throw to someone....doesn't make sense.
  14. Late round. He's do for a contract, hasn't done much of anything, injured, 3rd day pick. I mean why is anyone giving you anything for him at this point, based on his Bama days? He couldn't get together with Wilson, and I know folks feel Wilson is a washed up Diva, but the guy still can get the football to open receivers. Just not sure what to think about Jeudy, he hasn't do anything in this league. Most I'd give is a 3rd, I have to pay him and he hasn't proven he can do it.
  15. I agree with Steve on everything as well. Not that I don't like Johnston, but the issues he brought up are clear as day. His speed isn't always evident, and even when you watch clips of him in that Smith video you see him body catching deep balls, that's awful technique. You shouldn't allow those balls to get into your chest, attack at the catch point with your hands or a DBs is going to knock your block off and dislodge the ball by letting it get into your body. It wasn't a long video, but the issues he brought up are there when you watch Johnston, clear as day.
  16. The guy gave us 100%, put his body on the line every damn week. Deleting some photos doesn't make him a prima donna, he behaved exactly the opposite all season long, especially when you factor in his injuries and his contract situation. He can delete whatever he wants, doesn't change what he did for this ball club. Love the guy.
  17. We need another Daryl Williams. He was so good in 2020, not coincidence that Josh did so much damage from the pocket that year.
  18. If he gets that kind of money, it's going to open up talks of capping contracts. This dude is a scrub, he'll keep you in 7-10/9-8 purgatory for the length of the deal. Would have to be one of those bogus contracts without many guarantees.
  19. 2020 team felt unstoppable, I thought we would roll the Chiefs.
  20. Kind of surprised by this simply because everyone talks positively about him when doing interviews. Then again, you're not going to ***** on a guy in public either. Anyway, good luck to him, seemed like he did a good job while he was here for the most part.
  21. Everyone always blames the pass rush, and there's some truth to it, but the best way to get your rushers home more efficiently is to cover up well in the back half. You're not getting home with your front 4 if there's an open receiver consistently in 2.5 seconds.
  22. He was terrible. Just have to hope he bounces back. Nothing more to it than that. He's already getting up there in age, so regression was coming no matter what.
  23. Beane put us in this spot, he should have just said the Bengals did a good job, we have to do better, instead he talked too much and the media will stir ***** up. I GOT TO DO A BETTER JOB. That's it.
