  1. Definitely duped. Also funny to see Darby play zone coverage tonight, already has an interception, and yet he didn't fit this scheme. Once again, the Bills scheme is too good for a player like Darby, who needs talent when you have schemes.
  2. The lazy comparisons to Manziel remind of the lazy comparisons folks made about Von Miller being the next Maybin, you heard a lot of that garbage when we drafting that year. Mayfield's a stud, wish we land him, we probably won't.
  3. My reaction will be it's a shame he didn't start the entire season. That way we could have traded Tyrod, the Bengals almost got a 2nd for a McCarron so don't tell me we couldn't have received decent compensation for Tyrod, and we could have improved our draft slot.
  4. With the way he played, in the offense he played in, no question. Everyone would have written him off, bust label front and center. Development & coaching, it's a hell of combination.
  5. Man what a flat out clinic. The route running too, that offense is hell.
  6. I liked him a lot, criminally underutilized, glad he's getting it done.
  7. Yup. It's crazy how in a pass happy league he went 11th overall. And it's not like he didn't have hype, lots of folks had him as one the best DBs to enter the draft the last few years. His measurable are off the chart, crazy SPARQ score, played at a top program, and had the tape to boot.
  8. We better nail the 2018 pick we get from KC, because I'm getting sicker by the week watching Lattimore. This dude looks like an All-Pro, no DB has played this well as rookie in recent times. Don't get me wrong, Tre White has been solid, but he just isn't on the same level right now. Need to get another stud with KCs first.
  9. I don't understand why we treat Alexander as a 3 down LB. He needs to be rotated in and out, I much prefer Milano to be in on passing downs and let Alexander come in to rush the passer in situational downs. Makes no sense.
  10. If he keeps playing the way he did the last two week there's no way he goes back on the bench. Coaches will make it work, he'll be the Nickel backer at the very least.
  11. Man, what a huge blow, on a play like that too, jesus.
  12. When Glenn is healthy he's one of the best LT in the league, PFF says so, but he hasn't been healthy of late. I look at Carolina's offensive line and I worry about this front office. Carolina's personnel on the OL is dog ****, we have much better talent than they at OL and yet we're trying to get rid of that talent, why?
  13. I've watched every Rams game, it's hard not to see that he becomes disinterested when he feels the ball isn't coming his way. There was one play where he beat the DB, but kind of slowed down and Goff overthrew him. If he ran it 100%, he may have still been slightly overthrown but not as much as he was, would have been close. Sammy was so good at Clemson, but he touched the ball a ton. I hope he gets it together for his own sake.
  14. For those that care, PFF had him as the 2nd highest graded player with an 86 overall, Hughes was first with 90.
  15. Why isn't Groy getting run? He's much better, and has proven capable at the G position. Why do we need to run out this scrub Vlad, he's a turnstile.
  16. I doubt he'll be Houston, but I'm hoping for Pernell McPhee upside. Everyone sleeps on McPhee but the guy can stuff the run and rush the passer. McPhee doesn't get enough love, much like Kyle went under the radar when he was in his prime.
  17. Analytics tell you that Sammy's the better WR, so no, we certainly are not using analytics. We also traded for a CB that is older, has no cost control remaining, and is inferior in every way to the player we traded. Moneyball is about a change in the way we operate, top to bottom. Cleveland is changing the way they operate, full tank, acquire as many picks as possible and draft from the ground up. I think the jury is still out on whether we've truly changed the way we operate, especially after getting rid of the cost controlled Darby for the soon to be FA EJ Gaines. Remember, this wouldn't be the first time a new regime got rid of a star offensive player. Chan/Buddy did it with Lynch. Moneyball is about an overhaul in the way we operate, from scouting, to free agency, to development. No one can answer that right now.
  18. Yes, lets compare the numbers Watkins G GS Tgt Rec Yds Y/R TD 37 37 276 153 2459 16.1 17 Matthews G GS Tgt Rec Yds Y/R TD 46 36 346 225 2673 11.9 19 So Matthews has been in 9 more games, Sammy has started one extra game. Matthews has 70 more targets than Sammy, 72 more receptions, and yet only has 214 yards in additional yardage and 2 additional touchdowns. I don't have to look very hard to see that Sammy is the more efficient player. Sammy also gains 4.2 more yards per reception than Matthews. So yeah, lets look at those numbers... We just traded for a more inefficient WR that also happens to be a FA at the end of the year. Good job at those numbers.
  19. Vlad is !@#$ing garbage. Miller had a very good year. It's good to have competition, but lets be real, if Vlad is starting this team is !@#$ed on the R OL.
  20. See, I don't think it matters what side he's blocking as long as he can block that side. If you're a RT in this league you have to pass block Von Miller, JJ Watt, Wake, Avril etc. If you're a LT you have to block Clowney, Mack (though he switches as much as anyone), Suggs and Ware in the past etc, so both your LT/RT have to be capable. So it's not a lesser position in my eyes, LT/RT equally important in today's NFL. But I do see the point that you don't want to move Glenn based on a 2 game sample, especially when it will be an adjustment for Glenn as well. We just need to upgrade at RT, Mills is awful, Seantrel is done.
  21. He's looked more than capable at the LT position, PFF has him down as only 1 hurry, no sacks the last two weeks. Run game still did work, we haven't missed Glenn at all. Some folks feel Cyrus can't play RT because of his knee, won't allow him to move as well on that side of the field, we need to get Mills off the roster and upgrade RT. It's a small sample, but it's nice seeing Cyrus contribute, played really well the last two weeks, but it's just that two weeks. Any thoughts? Merry Christmas to all.
  22. Was not a huge fan, didn't like the pick, he's a tweener right now. Very little bend, good hand usage and strength makes up for athleticism and speed, he's not your ordinary 3-4 OLB, more of DE, but if he's out too wide in a 4-3 he may have issues. We'll see how he develops and grows.
