Maybe the Bills want to promote Brady but figure if he’s successful he’ll be gone in a year or so. If Lewis is impressive in his interview perhaps he’d be brought on as the QB coach. Learn the system and the organization and move up in a year or two.

Don’t want to reach for a specific position in round 1, go BPA. But… hopefully they can grab two WR’s in the first 4-5 rounds. If a WR at 28 is the BP, great! If not, there are other holes to fill.

Going to ramble a bit here…. The playoffs are a war of attrition. When I looked at who was out (top 2 LB and CB) it didn’t look good. Then seeing how limited Douglas and Kline were, it looked worse. Folks are upset that the D-line had no sacks and little pressure. KC’s interior O-line is good. If our back 7 is two old but great safeties, 3rd string and PS guys Mahomes doesn’t need a lot of time to hit the open guy. Am I disappointed that we lost? Yes. Am I making excuses? Sure. Do I think we need wholesale changes? Nope. We need better receivers and probably two new safeties (and to be healthy). Been a fan for 50+ years. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

I live in the Albany area and this morning the local “sports” guy was commenting on how soft the WNY people are because the game was backed up one day. As the new stadium was designed to deal with the wind I think it’ll be fine. The current stadium is built in a hole, with a wide open structure that allows the wind to blow straight through, and a single access tunnel that does all kinds of weird stuff. I’m actually looking forward to the new one.

Folks complaining about the coaching…. Without the turnovers this game isn’t close. Win by 2 or 22 it’s still a win. Been rooting for this team forever, it’s never been easy and probably never will be.

I was kidding in my earlier post but considering the poster boy and his coach spoke at length about what an embarrassing moment this was for the league…. Reality is, they should be fined or punished substantially. If the league let’s them get away with a slap on the wrist then everyone can let it rip.

I think a one game suspension would be adequate (for both of them) 🤷‍♂️

So Toney stays back and off to the side watching Kelsey run through traffic? If if weren’t scripted, he would have attempted to throw a block to spring Kelsey. Afterwards, Chief’s players said Kelsey makes that throw in practice. I believe it was planned 💯.

For everyone calling Kelces play a “Hall of Fame” type play, I disagree. He got open because Toney blocked the back covering him. After the pick, Toney faded off to the left but always stayed behind Kelsey instead of going to the play to legally block. That was a designed play from the start. (Except for the offside and the RT lining up illegally-way too far back from the line.)

I’m oddly at ease this morning. With all of the negative press the last couple of weeks and the “playoffs start now” stuff, I expect them to come out focused and play the way they’re capable of. I might be completely wrong but I think today they remind everyone that they’re not dead yet.
