I was kidding in my earlier post but considering the poster boy and his coach spoke at length about what an embarrassing moment this was for the league…. Reality is, they should be fined or punished substantially. If the league let’s them get away with a slap on the wrist then everyone can let it rip.

I think a one game suspension would be adequate (for both of them) 🤷‍♂️

So Toney stays back and off to the side watching Kelsey run through traffic? If if weren’t scripted, he would have attempted to throw a block to spring Kelsey. Afterwards, Chief’s players said Kelsey makes that throw in practice. I believe it was planned 💯.

For everyone calling Kelces play a “Hall of Fame” type play, I disagree. He got open because Toney blocked the back covering him. After the pick, Toney faded off to the left but always stayed behind Kelsey instead of going to the play to legally block. That was a designed play from the start. (Except for the offside and the RT lining up illegally-way too far back from the line.)

I’m oddly at ease this morning. With all of the negative press the last couple of weeks and the “playoffs start now” stuff, I expect them to come out focused and play the way they’re capable of. I might be completely wrong but I think today they remind everyone that they’re not dead yet.

Kelce this year isn’t the same guy we’ve watched in the past. He’s still a threat and the D needs to know where he is all of the time. Could Douglas keep him in check? I think he could. Will McD change his defense from zone to a man/zone combo? I don’t think so. I just hope they press the receivers at the line to throw off their timing a little bit.

I grew up in a small town in the southern tier where everyone knew everyone. We all graduated in 75-77. We get together for a weekend every three years or so. Folks bring tents or campers, set up in a guys yard (who still lives in the same town) and eat and drink too much. Last time we got together we had 20+ people (original kids and some spouses). We’re all in our 60’s and we’re looking forward to the next one. Don’t want to jinx anyone but we’re all still pretty healthy.

I believe it’s 💯 on the coaching. Can’t know if it’s Dorcey or McD or a combination of the two. I think they are trying to turn Josh into “Brady”. They want a cerebral guy to dink and dunk, take what the defense gives you and play mistake free. That’s not Josh and never will be. If Brady would have had Josh’s skill set he would have been a completely different player. We need a coaching change to develop Josh and emphasize the great things that only he can do, not neuter him like the current staff.

Just curious…. How many of Mahomes 4th quarter and OT yards were Hill running by himself after catching the ball? Yeah I know they’re “passing yards” but comparing RAC between us and KC is eye opening. Allen was better that game regardless of stats.

Bought a dehumidifier on Amazon 5-6 years ago. Reviews said it worked great but to get the extended warranty because they only last a few years. After a while the unit kept coming up with an error that the filter was dirty (it wasn’t, my basement is pretty clean). If I turned it off and on it would reset and keep working. Contacted the company that sells the warranties and the gave me a full refund in Amazon credit. I bought a timer for $10, plugged the unit into that and it’s been working great for years. I just have it reset a few times a day.

Just thinking about last night, who would know our offense and player tendencies better than Daboll?? Think he was involved with the defensive game plan a little bit? While the offense under Dorsey is inconsistent, they’re statistically top 5 or so. He did call a 17 play drive that ate up 9:58 and wore out the Giants as well so it wasn’t all bad. Some of the issues are on the players also so I can’t blame him for the bad and ignore the good.

Not a cult. Started playing about six months ago with some folks who’ve been in it for a while. We don’t take it too seriously, it’s a social thing and you get a little exercise. Can you spend $200+ on a paddle? Yes, but you don’t have to. You want sticker shock? Take up road biking or downhill skiing. $$$$!

Years ago we played “buzzword bingo” when we went to “high level” meetings. We would make our own 5x5 sheet like a bingo card but we would write in 24 words or phrases (the center was a free spot). You had to make a copy before the meeting and play on the copy so you couldn’t cheat. When you got five in a row you would cough loudly and mark the time on the sheet. Everyone put in a couple of bucks. A few times someone said BINGO! It was hard to not laugh.

My opinion on why good OT’s are hard to find…. College today is all spread offense, ball is out quick, pass a lot more than run. The college game is very different from the pro game. Linemen get drafted on potential and RAS scores, they’re not developed like they used to be.

Bass was miked up for the preseason game. When he was talking to Kincaid he mentioned that he was the kicker when he was in High School and he hit a 40 yarder. Timing might be an issue but in an emergency…?

Saw Robert Plant and Alison Krauss at Tanglewood last night. Outstanding show, full crowd, couple of sprinkles but weather was better than expected. They performed more Zep songs than I thought they would and they were great. Probably half of their list was from their first album with 5-6 Zeppelin songs tossed in the second half.

I got one of the Star Trek Enterprise ornaments when they came out (first in that series). Wasn’t interested in any that followed. They sell for $100+ now. Might be a “ collectible” but I put it on the tree every year. Not sure if I want the Josh or not…

I owned a bunch of junk as a kid but my first car was a beat up 1966 Triumph TR4a. God I loved that car.
