  1. 1973, it was the magical trifecta. Rich Stadium was a new jewel, OJ ran wild and the NFL lifted the local blackout rule if the game sold out 72 hours before kick-off. So all of the games were on TV. Growing up in Toronto during that period, we really just watched the CFL. But seeing that new stadium drew me in and I watched every game. The next year a friend parents took us to Bills vs Miami, Bills lost, but I was hooked. Been a die hard ever since.
  2. While completely incensed is a bit of an overkill, I must say, yesterday's officiating was the worse I have seen all season. The call on Knox was terrible and I think really changed the outcome of the game. Singletary's penalty was pure BS. I never blame the refs when we loss, even after the Houston playoff loss. Only the losers blame the ref and good teams don't let the refs control the outcome. That said, yesterday's strip performance was a D- Go Bills
  3. Frank Reich takes a knee on January, 20th 1991. Bills beat the Raiders 51-3 and are headed to their first Super Bowl. I ran out of the stadium crying, jumping, dancing and spinning. It was a long drive back to NJ and I felt like it only took a few hours. Nothing will ever compare until we finally win one!
  4. OJ '73 2,003 yards. Rich Stadium was a brand new jewel. The next year I had family friends take us from Toronto to Buffalo for Miami vs Bills. Hooked for life
  5. This clearly makes sense, I have always thought that the playoff (Minus LA-NO) game and especially the Super Bowl are much better games because of the lack of yellow flags. If it's a clear cut penalty it should be called, but no one ever went to a game to watch the refs.
  6. I never understood why the NFL does not mandate that all players wear knee braces. I know they say its speed and the ability to cut, but if all the players had braces it would be an equalizer. Perhaps a more modified brace for the skilled positions. If they made it a mandate the technology would evolve.
  7. Why would you want Nate to throw the ball when you know its just going to the defense?
  8. How about "Redskin Potatoes". After all they play like rotten potatoes.
  9. WOW, how depressing. (My ranking) 1) Sean McDermott 2) Wade Phillips 3) Mike Mularkey He seemed decent the first season and it appeared we were on our way. Then the old wheels fell of the wagon 4) Rex Ryan truly sad to put Mr Rex I need Ritalin at 4 5) Gregg Williams. What a jerk 6) Chan Gailey Solid OC had some decent schemes, but a weak head coach 7) Doug Marrone Never liked him, from day 1 insincere. Start a rookie QB with an up tempo offense. WHAT. If GW is a jerk DM is a huge )*( whole 8 ) Dick Jauron Nice guy CLUeLESS.
  10. I like the idea of piping in crowd noise that replicates a historical and realistic perspective of past games. For example Bills in Miami, super loud when Miami is on offense
  11. BILLS, BILLS BILLS.....But I love football and wanted my family to have the same experience of being an NFL fan. Going to NFL games in Buffalo and NJ has been a family highlight full of great memories. But I did create a split family
  12. I have been a Bills season ticket holder for many years. I live in NJ and also have Giants season tickets, mostly for my family to use. I received a letter from the Giants today allowing me to furlough my 2020 seats with no impact to my PSL. Has anyone heard of the Bills doing the same thing? And if you are interested I took the Giants up on the offer.
  13. Flashback video. Love this place, graveyard and all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oFAyTbllkxQ&t=1s
  14. Training camp will be interesting. I wonder what happens when players turn their back on him. If he is not stellar within the first two weeks, he gone Fromm here
  15. He wrote a book about his career, I believe it was called "Any Given Sunday" it was very good. When the movie came out with the same name, I first thought it was about Bobby's life, clearly it was not.
  16. The greatest sport with the worse P/T officals and 1990 technology. Pitiful
  17. How Biscuit is not on the wall is beyond me. One of the best LB the Bills ever had. The year Bruce was hurt and Bennett was basically a rover was fun to watch
  18. I actually give him credit for avoiding big hits by sliding or stepping out bounds (this does not include the dumb slide during the playoff game). The only time he was hurt he was in the pocket. He keeps driving going and score a ton but clearly still needs to slow down and protect the ball much better to be elite. Cam had a lot more designed physical runs than Josh. We need to keep it that way
  19. To this day I always think of what would have happened if Gary Anderson was on the 1990 team. I think its a GREAT pick. Go Bills
  20. 100% agree. All of Beane's drafts have been excellent. The building of this team reminds me so much of the Bills in the late 80's, just before our magical run as Polian picked gems through F/A, division 2 schools and smart drafts. Let's now hope that we stay healthy like last year and keep this staff together. Go Bills
