that last bit relative, right? 50k per day fines that can’t be waived suck when you’ve maybe put less than $1m in your pocket post taxes/agent fees, etc… and coming back in November often results in mediocre play and/or soft tissue injuries. If it was all upside to push the issue it would happen more.

Hoecht and Ogunjobi 6 game suspension for PEDs

On the bright side we also probably wanted bosa on a pitch count early too Lots of reps for the depth guys -
to be fair, the bills may have their own formula they plug in their measurements with and that could even essentially be RAS just because you and I won’t have one on draft sites doesn’t mean he won’t be scored relatively the same

he keeps falling off my radar but jack bech seems like such a billsy pick.
-
Rapp might end him

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
NoSaint replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn’t read the whole thread so forgive me if posted 43 times already but… I think some value in the team likely seeing the move as a positive. Ie I think there are guys that see bosas name and know he’s been a real nfl dude, not just meekly adding any schlub -
Offense will start week one slightly better year over year defense still needs a CB… reason to believe safety is slightly better with potential upside linebacker is flat but healthy DT flat to slight upgrade DE upgraded but not sure how much or if enough long story short- add a cb, draft BPA and we on paper should be better
-
Cheap, experience, reason to believe in upside…. he could be nothing but it’s zero risk and high reward like it
-
Would just be tough to add a 5th guy at this pay range
-
a 5 and 7 for a 6 and Elam is pretty close to it
-
and we still may move on if the draft offers something. we set a floor not a ceiling here

realistically there’s enough guaranteed he will be on the roster. And most of the 12 is probably real. he’s a 5 time pro bowler at a premium position. While damaged he’s not a fringe player at this point -

2 things I like- I bet he hates mahomes I think he can also be a good developmental influence on Rousseau -

I mean, short of a full season out, the risk is like a $5m overpay if he pays 2/3 of the year and is just ok? -

On a 1 year? I’d take it over von -
I agree that there’s something still but at a bit of a loss for how to slot up that piece reasonably it’s generally an expensive skill set but you can’t add another guy making starter money. So either a bit of a washed vet (mecole, Mike williams… is this the last team for Brandin cooks to sign with?!?). Westbrook ikhine was probably close to that archetype today but treads towards just keeping hollins at that point? or like a 3rd rounder that can be in very precise packages?

I’m good with this -
just wait til it’s like jk dobbins for 5M and we are all left totally clueless on what it means ((no im not actually calling that, advocating, or seeing rumors- just joking about the most puzzling move I could peg))
-
and what did they contribute their first year? im comfortable saying that most guys at elite positions that are in the 3rd wave off the board are usually project to get to their ceilings or have lower ceilings- not as often they come in as a game breaker year 1
-
we probably aren’t reshaping our pass rush at 30 - while we likely add some pieces on the draft, I’m not holding breathe on a game changer right from day 1
-
only other thing that pops to mind if digging there is targets per route run? Ie he is open but not getting thrown to because he’s off location? im not advocating that’s the answer for the anomaly in the numbers, but sharing another idea for your rabbit hole
-
can you imagine a worse room than Arthur smith, Aaron Rodgers and Nate hackett?
-
would potentially explain his struggle to move up the depth chart without injury assistance. only watched so much chargers football but from afar seemed he was always poised for a jump that never came
-
honestly, kind of an enigma. not blazing and I don’t think an exceptional route runner but lots of separation. Lots of space and a good qb but minimal production it’s in the past made me think of Gabe Davis as a noteworthy deep threat somehow despite moving like a cruise ship, not being a high point guy and not being particularly qb friendly. just doesn’t really add up?
