  1. the word seems to be Kraft was not coming because it would be uncomfortable for both him and Brady but then he was a surprise in the crowd when comics went on stage so I suspect this was a genuinely awkward human moment
  2. that’s code for being able to do things no one else can but not being able to carry that load for 20 weeks of full games. It’s the same reason his stats in December/January are great - take him off the leash and he’s next level elite
  3. I mean projections for the last many years have been spot on minus like 2-3 picks being off by a round? frustrating, sure. lifes unknowable mysteries? Not really.
  4. Yea but that’s cause it’s closest to the sideline which was easier on his knees, and feet and ankles and
  5. And you had to learn quite a few words along the way too I bet
  6. and not finishing a May practice could be even drastically lower a standard
  7. someday mrags is going to give us his golden post. A true game changer for bills fans far and wide.
  8. yup. Especially hard on families if they only get a year out of them. I think we just started keons closet, a take one/leave one winter coat charity.
  9. But that’s the thing. With 3 other potential starting caliber players, they aren’t counting on him in any meaningful way. He’d be all upside for the roster. They could manage snaps, etc… and maximize his impact while limiting his exposure my gut is he may be a “stay in shape and we have you on speed dial” guy in case of injury
  10. oh no worries just thought I’d share extra through’s. A coats super appreciated a few weeks a year but that’s a lot of money for some families for just a few weeks.
  11. I’ll contain it to the top 4 WR still as that was the claim - written another way… are we thinking rookie WR7 is a top 15 receiver in the league and Samuel is an upgrade of note despite being much cheaper than the guy he’s replacing? i think both players will have fun flashes but I think saying this is our best group is perhaps…. Optimistic.
  12. if Shakir is a massive piece he’s going to be too expensive and this was the year to draft likely developmental guy to replace him in 2 years (similar to Davis and Shakir requiring 2 years to be trusted)
  13. you think Coleman-Shakir-Samuel-hollins is “as good as anyone we have had here in some time”?
  14. also, sure his contract expired but at that tier, a team can basically own the decision with any modest offer. So that he’s here means they definitely let him walk. not to speak for Kirby but I think sometimes there are a few of us that express frustration and people read that as 3-14 doom and gloom instead of unlikely to overtake the champion and win one ourselves doom and gloom. I fully expect us to be very competitive as long as Josh holds up in one piece. Though I think we will need to ask him to shoulder more and for longer to make results happen this year and that’s worrisome.
  15. a few thoughts- doesn’t have to be his home town certainly get some chilly days. We had some stretches in the 20s this year. Not just being uncommon but also being a damp windy cold can be real unpleasant. And plenty of places are designed to filter heat away from people to combat the summer (high ceilings, not great heat systems etc…) last up- if uncertain how to put food on the table are you skipping meals to buy a coat for a short winter or just telling kids to layer up with some undershirts and a hoodie?
  16. He’s comparing this years bills to last years contenders not this years contenders I think until proven otherwise we are the weakest group on that list but that doesn’t mean it’s an insurmountable gap- Kincaid steps forward, Coleman shows up and we can be in the mix with Josh. But it underscores that we are a half step behind and it’ll likely be an uphill battle.
  17. A winter coat drive seems natural next time but this is amazing
  18. at this point I’m here for him taking out teammates to the clubs and other distractions- im not sure he’s an actual net positive for them
  19. You could do much worse as a 90th guy on the roster, but I’m not super thrilled either
  20. Yea the competition for the 53rd could be him and hamler for instance Not the same group but I wouldn’t be shocked
  21. he’s the definition of not even buying a lotto ticket but finding one… not great odds but you never know what could’ve fallen out of someone’s pocket. You aren’t making financial decisions or quitting your job based on simply possessing it though
  22. the skin was sometimes single ply thin and that’s not going to work in this setting
  23. it’s one of the first times in years there’s been a discrepancy in predicting them and it was 2 guys by 1 round. while imperfect it’s still about 98% forecastable
  24. With Josh it’s always possible. Health and a few good bounces would go a long way towards that though.
  25. Current stance: none of them excite me or materially move the needle. I would wait til camp and see about cuts, late trades and if we have any injuries. someone will roll an ankle but whether that is cook or Samuel changes need quite drastically and around cut day I think the available talent will also be better. once upon a time I thought we would consider a guy like Simmons June 1 but now? Probably wait til august before considering anything noteworthy.
