  1. likewise, which is part of my interest if just looking for a pure backup guy
  2. If he was performing, his finances wouldn’t be an issue
  3. Once the trade goes, our money is locked
  4. with his rights otherwise reverting to the open market they sure have opted to retain him…. For now at least
  5. It’s crazy that so many still don’t realize the difference between having the best qb in the league vs the second best in your own division and that’s maybe 10-12 in the league. Matt Ryan isn’t a guy capable of being the leader of that success. the dolphins failures the last couple years weren’t the tyreek trade, for instance im not pounding the table to make the move but if it’s netting a truly elite player im not complaining about it either Sounds irresponsible not to try your best to win one when you put it like that
  6. 40-somethings 30 years later
  7. just absolutely wild he couldn’t at least get a package of plays for the guy
  8. to be fair, waiting as long as possible is advantageous the last thing you want is to restructure a guy and something catastrophic happens (whether workout or jet ski or legal)
  9. I think everyone drastically overstated the commitment if it were guaranteed - it’d be on paper and not just a handshake. It’s the best courtesy they can afford him in the situation. Holding him til final cuts is much worse when you know he won’t play on that contract Do right is releasing him should he can find market value and a good fit- maybe even here
  10. his salary this year slotted up as a top ten workhorse back let him see what his market is. Probably a 1.5m Kind of deal and he can pick his best fit to hopefully put up decent tape and earn a year or two after could even be here
  11. One of the wildest things on this board is that after the transition from 20 years to having Josh we still hear about talented rosters knowing the initial qb room was the likes of jameis, dalton, and taysom then after they made the situation even worse trying to prove they wouldn’t fall off after the transition they doubled down yet again not because of an elite roster but because the division was so incredibly weak that maybe they could sneak into the playoffs to save their jobs. and then they didn’t even do that and most of them still kept their jobs. it’s an embarrassment that ownership has allowed this to happen but after Tom passed I’m not sure anyone’s in charge of making uncomfortable decisions
  12. I just don’t know that he fits a need there with nico as their big body See mvs or other WR3 guys they’ve pushed into platoon 1-2 roles
  13. counter: he’s 72 even in the old world, he might have been done.
  14. I’ll admit, I’m patiently waiting for the run. fingers crossed - I think we see the alt coins close the gap to past highs next with people getting excited and fomo exploding in crypto again that’s largely been my cash strategy since the bottom almost every penny since the floor has been btc this round. have plenty kicking around in other place still but really keeping it simple this time
  15. i think at some point- perhaps after 10,000 posts here- if you don’t understand the basics of the cap you have to take that as a lesson about who you are instead of trying to get coached up
  16. you’ve never heard of the 3 point stance exemption? If you get in a stance and they don’t retreat, you can totally wreck them with impunity
  17. yea, I mean, if he goes in expecting to be self deprecating and having fun it’s fine I guess… but even then she trips over her own feet and you look like a jerk going into it trying to show her up is real dumb. but I guess he did that powder puff flag football kick return that was pretty well received
  18. probably not going to be many sympathetic jurors for Jon Jones if you are doing a playful slap fight, you make a joke and he rocks your jaw. I won’t claim to know what transpired between these two but…. If he intentionally laid a hit on her to get back at her, he’s going to deservedly pay the price
  19. the real issue is they are not partners or domiciled together or any of the things that make it a domestic abuse. It’s just assault if he intentionally did this and wasn’t just a clumsy moment. that said, getting in a physical altercation similar to what’s claimed with your spouse would absolutely still fit the bill for domestic abuse all the same as pushing her into the stove if you were cooking together, hitting her “accidentally” if doing a house project, or if at the gym and you dropped the bar on her cause she made a joke about you not being strong
  20. i mean, I don’t think anyone considered him worse than the worst safety in the entire nfl when he was playing for us the year prior and im positive no one here saw enough reps from him last year to make that judgement its just over correcting the opposite direction to make a claim like that once off his rookie deal he will struggle to find work potentially but I doubt if he gets cut today his career is done
  21. I have to think in the “drill” with an nfl all pro against a lady that’s never touched a football that a jury is not going to be eager to give a totally free pass to the guy crushing her just because “it’s a drill” it doesn’t give him a blank check to do whatever he is capable of to her
  22. It’s truly all risk and no reward- and frankly the risk is immense. One tag along has a weapon and all of a sudden the debate is whether cam got shot as the aggressor or defending himself - but even the best case there is he got shot and the other guy goes to jail
  23. Do you think there aren’t 50 or so guys on the roster that grew up fans of various non-bills teams? They’d all get a kick out of wearing the gear from the team that hey pretended to be winning the Super Bowl for on the playground I know it’s better left unsaid but your wife checks out other guys too. It’ll all be ok.
