  1. They could cut him, but suspend him without pay and not allow him to play elsewhere would take more in my opinion
  2. Whats the conduct? Retiring in a manner not graceful?
  3. When you put that much effort into the argument.... LT had more rushing yards, more receiving, and like double the TDs in fewer seasons. His efficiency/per game stats beat thurman. Better ypcarry, though Thomas won ypcatch. LT had 20 fewer fumbles despite more touches. he weighed more, put up more reps on the bench but still had a better 40, better in all the explosives (vertical and broad), better in the shuttles. Make your case for Thomas over LT... I didn’t even say smith in there. Just rattled off some names. I think we can all agree that it’s not a slam dunk to put him top ten - he’s right in that next group that can be debated. If you start that group at 9, or 10 or 11 through 20ish is fine. Ill buy thomas paved the way for a guy like LT, and did a GREAT job, but there aren’t many spots he was just as good (measurables or stats).
  4. I think that’s an overrated myth. Everyone thinks of it. But unless he has a hell of an explanation for the last month he’s edging towards “just stay away” territory
  5. All valid- for n addition to style, you’ve got to define whether your looking at careers (longevity) or one game in their prime. What i find in most of these lists - whether best all time or best of today- there tend to be plateaus and ledges. Small small number at the top(say 2-3), but stretch to about 10 in the first group of elite that can be shuffled around, then about 10 more in a next tier. That’s where Thurman lands for me. There’s a group he’s just not going to be put ahead of, but with just a small dip you find him and some really great other backs that will trade spots in the rankings based on your priorities.
  6. That’s about right for me... I wouldn’t cry foul for anything at about 10 down to about 20 which is huuuuge praise when you start thinking about how many backs are out there. It’s not a particularly rare body type or skill set - so to really distinguish yourself from the masses takes a lot. the only spot I might push back is that 1500 more touches isn’t just simply an “oh he has more opportunity” but is a real credit to his ability to stay healthy long term with a heavy workload.
  7. I don’t remember who but one of the reporters said they were told this was a joke? the problem is- if we want to spend to replace him he can unretire and blow up our cap at any drug fueled whim.
  8. What’s your 10 and how High is TT?
  9. Top 10 all time? I’ll say no... Top 20-25? Sure juice, brown, Campbell, Walter, sayers, Dickerson, sanders, LT, Faulk and Peterson off hand... I’m sure I forget 2-3 that could be in the 10
  10. Or at least we throw enough logical guesses and soooomething comes true
  11. Many say Rosens the best pure passer, and a lot put mayfield 2. That said, to pretend Darnold is like your hs rb lobbing option passes doesn’t make your argument sound rational.
  12. There was a night earlier this week where he legit was on twitter pretty much the entire night too. He’s really been all over the place.
  13. Ive Long said the same around here. Would be great for benchmarking
  14. 2 year 20 million with 8m bonus, 2m salary and 10 next year is only a 6m hit this year. Which we can 100% afford. Now if we want him and what’s the real price are different but we can afford him easily
  15. I’m willing to go to 2, but won’t complain should they have intel that says 5 or 7 is totally fine to get a guy they are confident about.
  16. Plus it could be getting healthy/recovery but he claims to have been tested 73 times in his career and completely blind sided by the news. Who knows... odds are he took something but odds are he wasn’t taking snaps September 2018 anyway
  17. Youre kind of blending though, no? If we believe this one that says it’s mayfield or Rosen, and combine it with that one that says it’s allen.... at that point is it hearing what you want and ignoring discrepancies out of two already sketchy sources and just running with it? Truly no offense there- I’ve been guilty of just that before.
  18. Maybe- it just seems in many cases a team in the top few spots is either yes or no on the qb... there’s rarely a lot of “I think he’s my franchise guy but if I could get a rb and a day two lineman instead....”
  19. But if the giants want Darnold badly all they have to say is no to letting Cleveland still get their guy at two.... unless Cleveland is fine waiting til 4 to take what’s left. The giants potentially wanting Darnold seems like a monkey wrench in the trade to 1 to get Darnold plan here.
  20. So you think that Cleveland and the giants are 100% all in on Cleveland to two? Or are they willing to trade out of 1 and hope Allen’s there at 4?
  21. It means someone likely showed him or he saw here and thought it was a fine enough way to get some traffic this afternoon
  22. So the browns go from 1&4 to 2&12..... theres several more day two picks we give up if not next years 1st for us to finance that move. What is the incentive for us to get to 1 if neither 1 or 2 wants Darnold? At that point we could let them take Allen first and spend less moving up
