  1. You are normally excellent at social cues too. Real talk- not ok of them.
  2. Allegedly they were trying to get him calmed down and likely in an uber home and he took off. It didn’t seem they just tossed him on the street and closed the door.
  3. He’s an excellent corner it helps him that we dont have have a great corner across from him. Easier to avoid him. That said, plenty of the guys he’s facing are good enough to get targets even against decent corners A corner passing a rb as our best player is likely indicative of why we aren’t a powerhouse though.
  4. 10 years and 32 (plus comp) picks in each round is quite the sample size. While 1” is kind of arbitrary I would say designing your sample around shoehorning in an extreme outlier is even more “selective”
  5. Not to chase it totally down the rabbit hole but... dareus is grading higher than starr on pff (grain of salt but willing to point at it as Starr not being widely better if nothing else)... if instead of eating a boatload of dead money, and making Starr our centerpiece what if we distributed that across our OL targets and gotten viable free agents there... as an example
  6. Theres a certain irony in this post. You know, preseason, and peterman and all
  7. Dont forget that because we haven’t been to the playoffs in a long time he gets a 5 year golden pass. If he was replacing a good coach we could run him out but... I suppose the debate is: did it need to be a down year other than expecting a young qb to take lumps at some point early in their tenure
  8. I think “we all” may be overstating it. Plenty thought this was a good team. I recall arguments that our pass catchers were good, our qb play would be improved, defense would be able to get us into the playoffs etc... the wr threads were particularly surprising to see but plenty of posters thought KB was a strong #1 and that we had a glut of 2-3 options behind him.
  9. I know it’s not popular to say but what if as much as “overachieving” we actually got lucky. I know, I know, we are the bills but....
  10. Yea, prob better to get 8 games of trash play and nothing in return than to at least see if someone wants him If KB is half running routes, he’s doing more damage than good anyway
  11. I found it stunning when put into context that we had a 7th round qb, 7 and 2 Udfa at wr, udfa as our top rb, 7 at LT
  12. Theres been some rumblings that our players haven’t loved it. Let’s be honest- it’s not been particularly graceful
  13. But why do we assume everything is the same here if we change this decision?
  14. Why even use hill or hunt... you have good depth to get you to the end of the game. Ware and Watkins would love the touches.
  15. Just a matter of health for if we see these chiefs in the AFCCG Which means pull your starters here
  16. I don’t even think he’d be particularly good but for essentially league minimum I assume he’d deserve the spot, right? It didnt save money. It didn’t return a good pick. It was basically saying we could get a better guy at league minimum. I’ll remain skeptical of that. Especially looking at the roster at that time.
  17. I’ll admit, I thought Reid to kc was going to be ugly (just had a lot of family issues and took no time off to get straight).... man... he’s really something
  18. I’ve come to this season completely comfortable missing games. Some years less so but Rex and McD have never had my flavor of koolaid. I was at least curious about the Roman/Kromer run game and what Rex would do (the latter got old fast)... with this group I just don’t see it happening though. I hope an innovator on offense gets the reigns before this important offseason
  19. Generally agree but one would think there’d be some care about getting him good experience if we are putting a huge premium to get him
  20. Thats what happens when it’s a passing league and you have no pieces to that puzzle. the WR group was totally foreseeable. The o line was duct tape and bubble gum.... the offensive strategy in the offseason was either: 1) don’t care or 2) think we are solid which is worse?
  21. But in that scenario, even if you believe he’s a perfect kicker the strategy only works a little under 50% of the time if your goal is a win. 1 gets you to overtime which is 50-50 (minus ties). If your goal is a win and you factor in ties and imperfect kickers, it’s an interesting position to debate
  22. The narrative that they were screwed by the cap situation is one of the most frustrating... Poor guys having to deal with somethinf they created.
  23. Agreed 100% he wasn’t the answer and we got blown out plenty with him but here we are with 10m in dead money at qb between he and McCarron and a depth chart of Anderson-peterman It’s a not really acknowledged byproduct of the peterman debacle. The benching surely soured the relationship and helped create this situation
