  1. Thats kind of the point of my joke. None of us could. Cause it’s Shreveport.
  2. In Shreveport the bar isn’t particularly high.
  3. Generally agree, but a dominant defense can be part of not asking him to do tooooo much ala Wilson and kaepernick squaring off back in the day. You also still have alllll that extra cash to spend on offense right now. Could even utilize some midrounders traded for established vets on pricy deals. Really my biggest knock on it is would we pay both guys if heaven forbid they are both beasts down the line. 1st world problem there though.
  4. It happens more than you probably realize and if we have 3 guys that are good in space, it’s not terrible. The flip side is in a big nickel package situation would you rather our 3rd safety or a guy like white and just stay base? I’m not saying we cut nickel totally but there’s obviously some flex in what makes up the percentages we are in that package. plus, again, injuries at LB aren’t rare and it seems to be a key level in McDs scheme.
  5. Milano and they don’t run nickel as much or they rotate packages a bit to keep guys fresher or the back up lb filling in because someone’s hurt.
  6. But when the thoroughness and detail doesn’t really back his hypothesis and he still shoehorns it... well... ill stick with with my opinion that this wasn’t actually a great article, even as a fan of most of his content.
  7. I feel like he wrote a lot more than needed to try to make a point he didn’t really get to... to argue tre white was an official visit because he visited beane before Whaley picked him and that he thinks hock had a secret visit that his agent is hiding so therefore because the bills always draft an official visitor and hocks a strong possibility because he was actually maybe a visitor really didn’t need THAT much.
  8. Hocks not going before us. Lucky us if he does.
  9. Could be the other half of the Oakland rumors. Wouldnt be shocking to add a ton of talent around Rosen (or picks to later replace him)
  10. How often have even you or I been less than our best because of a fight at home, or a bad back keeping us awake or? There red was an article a few years back about how badly beat up Jason Taylor (dolphins) was during his career without ever being listed on a report. Just shocking and totally changed my perspective on how little fans actually know behind the scenes.
  11. Then you roll in scheme, personality fits, injuries, home life issues on top of those (I think a lot of guys are playing far more hurt than we like to acknowledge any given day)
  12. https://mobile.twitter.com/PFF_AustinGayle/status/1116118068420386816 good on him and a nice reflection on him being engaged... but genius? Unless I’m missing something... It does show he likely will study what those guys give him though.
  13. Seeing the link to his system... he just picked 5-6 moves and charted how often they tried them and how often they worked, no?
  14. How many coaches stick with the plan of not running their own systems?
  15. People say a lot of things this time of year.
  16. Gregg is a 43 guy that likes pass rush Or both teams like a lot of good players available in the draft
  17. Walter is just a guy. His insights and connections are below many poster we have here.
  18. I think most casual fans see these as a good chance to get to know who is out there and what various teams may need (or after the fact how other players did). I don’t think most are looking at it as insider facts- just a fun way to get the cliff notes of the league
  19. Longer Von Miller and like him more than Bosa and you are talking trade back....
  20. Ignoring Brady has 3 of the past 5 wins... I named Seattle very specifically in there (9ers didn’t win but were the same boat as far as structure and winning a ton), the rams this year got there and chiefs were in the AFCCG..... unless your plan is to trade for Brady/Belichick I’d argue a many/most of the really strong teams lately have been young qbs with overloaded rosters.
  21. Because this is what wins in the nfl and having a qb on a rookie deal removes all that pressure. We are truly in the window where we get 1-2 guys for free essentially. we can build our legion of boom and still pay a rb and it’s not the end of the world if adding harvin flops, or get the weapons Mahomes has or (so many examples)
  22. We are very precisely in the window where we should add 1-2 splashy moves at game breaking positions that would normally seem silly but today are practical for being an instant contender. A high end pash rusher is a great example. Then hopefully josh Allen’s pay raise is absorbed as he transitions off the team but by then Allen is good enough to carry extra
  23. If you wipe clowneys first year Clark has 6 more sacks but Clowney has 29 more tackles for loss. And has played on and off the ball a bunch. More tackles, more pass breakups. It’s not like he’s a slouch or mediocre.
  24. After 20 years of this, I can’t fault anyone for not being familiar with what success looks like. Or looking forward to orange slices at half time.
  25. Plus I'm almost positive he’s not actually Jim Kelly
