  1. And I’ll stress he’s a junior in HS that’s playing football. That’s world class speed for a guy that can catch a contested ball. Hes got 5 years til a pro day but if he can stay healthy/focused we will be raving about his measurables pre draft Sub 21 200 outdoor here.... https://mobile.twitter.com/KayshonB15/status/1107852218609344512
  2. Who are the examples from previous regimes that were signed early in free agency and were major camp fodder? Like more than an OT signed to play TE camp fodder? hes definitely addresses some needs but it feels like you are creating a storyline
  3. So for sports entertainment, do you draw the line anywhere on safety? Or what about the participants drawing the line? Do they not get that right?
  4. And so far, he’s continuously improved into being the best linebacker in this draft and the type that you compare to the best prospects at his position over the last several years. Hes not the dude that’s faking his way through it and just there for the party ala Johnny football
  5. Sports might not be for you then. Believe it or not lots of these kids in the draft would’ve said they were going to be a top pick and making millions 3-4 years ago.
  6. The last several have had solid day 2 guys. It hasn’t been popular here but I’m a huge fan of a day 2 back that can step in and give you 4 years of top end play from day 1. Wash rinse repeat. id be all for drafting a guy in the 3rd semi regularly. Guys that used to go 10-30 (just a cut below ELITE) are going 40-90. Fantastic value for a guy that can change a game
  7. He has. But I bet you’d take Julio Jones, aj Green Calvin Johnson type receivers before him. They are are just more impactful on the defensive game plan than a TE is.
  8. And even then, if you missed an elite talent at a few other positions it’d still be the wrong choice - just sting less. If he played at San Antonio state would you still pick him out of all the bball players or is it really the buffalo connection?
  9. Its not a great post and is far from true. Guys like boobie and Easley were great teamers that were bad at their actual jobs as examples. Plenty of good players wouldn’t be particularly good special teamers.
  10. To be fair, crossman has a pretty long history of turning gold into crap, and crap into crappier crap. That they kept him initially raises far more questions than firing him does. Hopefully some of these early regime issues get fixed and don’t end up recurring like a Chan gailey defensive hire.
  11. The year crossman excelled was because we kept lesser talented players for teams. Otherwise mostly agree. Good kicker, decent coverage, no penalties. Not gamechanging positive just no negative plays
  12. Im all for redemption stories. But he hasn’t shown to be an nfl qb. Does he get more shots at it because he also wasn’t a good person in his free time? I hope he does well in whatever comes next but I wouldn’t sign him as a football player.
  13. I’m sorry but outside of the entire defense uniting against Rex, it never felt much like lack of unity was the issue. Guys like fitz, Stevie, Fred, KW, Aaron Williams, marshawn, and so on all seemed to get along fine. We just never had the talent and particularly at qb.
  14. So officials will throw the flag on anything borderline, in theory. But still wouldn’t have helped the nfc championship game. It’s like they tried to make it worse not better
  15. Having a lot of space doesn’t mean best managed.
  16. Any given year for the past decade there’s a good chance my favorite concert was “Wimbash” their bass player puts it on during jazz fest annually with a ton of guests. Some years most of LC joins. Seeing LC plus guests jam on old 70s funk from midnight to 4am in a room of like 30 people is a hell of a treat.
  17. Where could I access the non summarized version?
  18. You could take darn near any roster and in 3-4 years see a wide majority turnover (outside a few cornerstones on the good ones). It’s crazy how much movement there is these days.
  19. Sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday.
  20. Kind of condescending for a guy that thought our receiving group was above average going into last year.
  21. To be fair, I think Whaley had little control over coaches and by proxy over the long term plan. He was just stocking the shelves. Typically the moves made sense in that context. we still have to see if the plan works. I suspect some 22 year olds from Texas that finally are realizing their dreams with a 6-7 figure salary may be less excited about sledding than you are
  22. I see nothing there that precludes is from it even slightly
  23. We weren’t a particularly good spot. In his rookie deal he dealt with how many coaches/schemes and who beside him at tackle?
  24. If there’s any way to get a star at an impactful position you have to go for it top 10. Getting a solid guy at a second tier position is definitely not ideal even if he plays well. The positive is we should have a shot at a great talent at one of those spots.
