  1. Right- he has the best analytics guy in the game. It’s a BB answer of the highest degree to say analytics arent really used there.
  2. I don’t know why you think it’s one or the other. and I’m not advocating Gordon but where’s your better cheap backup option for him? Pairing the twos best case in this
  3. Yuuup. And it works. Every time. i want to believe there’s room for a guy that can break down film really well
  4. We don’t even know how long he was straightened up here. If I asked you last week if he was out of shape and high in team meetings you would’ve called me crazy. Wood may have helped a bit but really it’s throwing darts blindfolded. If nothing else, it’s unlikely he was a bad influence.
  5. Seems a bit stretch-y to look at wood or the previously mentioned Castillo here. The dudes always been incredibly erratic, regardless of coach, teammate, etc... two things here though - if he was out of shape and showing up high I’m surprised they even offered the pay cut if this is what he’s owning, I’m curious what if any more is left unsaid.
  6. But as to his point, 300 yards isn’t a feat any longer. It’s akin to not breaking 75 yards rushing or getting 2 turnovers in a game. It’s 20 years without a playoff appearance. Even totally incompetent teams have done it. thats not to say it’s a big deal, it’s just surprisingly outside the norm statistically even when you account for all that.
  7. Bringing up Jim’s stats is terribly out of touch with a league that’s evolved a ton in the last 30 years. that season would be 16th in the league last year and was 3rd in 1991
  8. I think his concern is sustainable winning in a passing league. There were plenty of those stats in the fitz hot start that posters were chastised for pointing out. It’s definitely still a red flag but I’d be surprised if it doesn’t change soon as we have a kid that can sling the ball. If he doesn’t hit 300 soon (and a few times) it’d be a big curveball in my expectations for the development of this team
  9. I’m not arguing who’s doing it, just that I hope they dial back a little
  10. You don’t have to do it often to force that though
  11. Mayve a message board, where people come to discuss things such as player moves, isn’t the place for you.
  12. Yup- top WR, second round defender that can get up field after the qb (from any position, at least situationally) and another 3rd round back would really give some pop to this team if the draft falls right next year.
  13. Yup. Im all for day two RBs and WRs and vet lineman. Just hard to get a lineman up to speed fast and by the time they are good you are paying them. A decent skill guy can be a major impact out of the gate (and help the line out too if they don’t have to hold blocks as long)
  14. Who knows if he works out but there were a few day 2 options. DK just hauled in a heckuva a catch but who knows long term. He’s started well though. i tend to lean towards day 2 skill positions and spending for vet lineman if expecting immediate contribution.
  15. Super curious to see what kind of contract Lamar’s gets when his time comes
  16. Mama said Knox you out
  17. Yup! But it I think it’s fair to discuss. It can be possible to see a potential weakness and not think it’s end of the world. It it might be a case of him struggling after the “scripted” plays and into the initial adjustments after halftime before getting to the “just make plays” of the 4th quarter. Whether that’s true, I have no idea but it doesn’t seem crazy that he’s a little tight when it’s in that middle ground. Could be purely coincidental.
  18. Gotta feel bad for Atlanta’s safety already busting his knee again. Dude was pretty upset going off the field. Hate seeing that.
  19. You win those you win games and divisions
  20. Love it. absolutely love both sides firing
  21. I just know I worry anytime I see a qb moving away from the line and without planted feet throwing deep. Cam does that same type of throw a lot. When you land a few in a row it’s an MVP season, but if you miss a few it’s a fast way to .500. I love that he CAN do it but he has to pick his spots and that wasn’t it (even if it was caught I’d have some reservations)
  22. Yup. though I’ll say I hate the back foot falling away flip deep down field. Dont get me wrong - I LOVE he can make that throw but up 11 in FG range I’m not trying to see that throw.
  23. Indy playing well. Mixed tempo, keeping Atlanta off balance (speed to the line, speed to snap both varied a lot). brisset still hasn’t missed a pass. I wrote them off but might be tougher. I still think it’ll be hard for them to put 16 games together though. didnt realize an Atlanta stat they flashed: last 9 of last 10 against the afc. 10 of 11 if counting the super bowl. Weird quirk for a team that’s not a mess
  24. What was the actual list? I think we’d largely assume Allen would be hanging in the best few under 25 but curious to have the full 5 as a jumping off point of conversation
  25. Do you look for ridiculous hills to die on, or do you think they find you?
