  1. Nah - expect it to get worse when the expectations rise.
  2. Don’t get me wrong, any week off is great but if you want it to be a season that lasts til February - this is very early and you’ve got to be planning to win the division early and/or receive a bye in the playoffs to call a bye this early ideal. outside of your QB being out for a week and it happening to be this week- the bye is welcome, but early
  3. What year was the 265 tackle? 1989?
  4. I tend to like them later. If banking on the playoffs, it’s a long time to go without a break from this early. And getting healthy late in the year is nice.
  5. It it should underscore how common that is if it happening more than a third of snaps is still ranked that high
  6. Brady is a lot more likely than josh, or cam to get that flag. Josh is a lot more likely than gore to get that flag. It’s life. On the fines, I think it’s more even handed on a broad level.
  7. When you have a QBs on a rookie deal you play by different rules and if your expectation isn’t competing for the super bowl in the next 18 months, you’re expectations are too low
  8. But they aren’t going to trade him? Seems unlikely
  9. The flip side is if it’s poyer hitting a Zeke- you’d be surprised to see the flag or it might possibly go against zeke (though with the tackler wrapping up from behind unlikely - point being the runner can’t drop his head either) it it was an ugly play. Outside of our community it wasn’t judged as being significantly outside the norms of the game though. If scripted- they’d be better off not throwing the flag but later fining. With this scenario I’m not seeing the point of the “script” Flip side, ignoring the back and forth to get back to the core.... without that flag on the hit the drives over. It was far from a free pass, it was an extra play at midfield in a 1 score game in the 4th. I think most coaches would advise their teams to avoid that even in an offsetting scenario.
  10. That wasn’t one of the worst you’ve seen unless you don’t watch football
  11. Ultimately the trade compensation guarantees the rest of the deal for all practical intents and purposes
  12. Think of it this way: old teams cap has to account for money already paid, while new team takes future payments. so the cap hits you are looking at are meaningless. Look at salary and future bonus payments for our commitment and the Broncos would eat all the amortized bonuses they paid but we’re spreading across future year caps
  13. That is indeed my assertion
  14. Meh. The GM is looking at higher end prospects as he lives and does on those picks
  15. You must’ve drank A LOT last time you were on bourbon st
  16. When you get worked up about something you get silly with your takes.
  17. But it’s not the team clearing guys
  18. Every line tends to have that kind of boom or bust nature. There are incredibly few, if any, lines that are winning across the board consistently i wouldn’t argue that we are the 2nd best but think we are probably much more in the thick of it among good lines than most realize because they have unreasonably high expectations of what other teams are getting. Essentially all have at least 1-2 weak links even when healthy and start rolling injuries and it gets even worse.
  19. I let a lot of bad insults go but man... that one stings around here
  20. So where would you rank them? also I think qb is an incredible outlier for these kinds of conversations generally.
  21. 1-32 where do you put them and how many lines don’t have at least 1 bad player? are we quibbling over 2 vs 7-10 or more like 2 vs 27 in your opinion?
  22. How many of the other 31 have you watched? i wouldn’t say second best but probably think they rank higher than most here would consider. As most lines aren’t that good. Generally speaking, yup.
  23. We all get stuck on our guys and rarely admit to the misses but man did I want DK on day 2
  24. I don’t think there is any rule, simply team preference around guys that are practice squad, injured, etc...
  25. And the qb is still learning that on a cheap contract so you can over invest in making life easier for him im not a huge Diggs guy but couldn’t be more pro-add WR threats. Give Allen more wide open throws. Pull more pass rushers into coverage. Make his life easier
