Even the greats make bad throws. Hate to see that one but hopefully not a habit.

He was a 4 star recruit - if he didn’t get a shot it was because of his own inconsistency. Similar to why he was cut without being claimed. he had a few good games but has not shown to be “the guy” consistently. Anyond exepecying him to waltz in with 16 games like those 4 was unreasonable. Low expectations and high hopes for guys like him. The nfl is littered with good games, or even months, from guys that can’t regularly produce though.

Coming back to the team from what... being cut after being a udfa After being underwhelming in college that he’s not lighting it up isn’t a huge shocker. He was a fingers crossed but don’t count on it type of player.

It wouldn’t be unheard of to have him emulate a few things in a practice. And just playing him day to day in practice probably helps a little too... but it cuts both ways and practicing against Edelman every day likely in the same way helps the pats DBs as much if not more as he’s generally bigger/faster/quicker

Does beasley win that? I don’t have it in front of me but relatively across the board it seemed Edelman was beating him athletically. Talking short area - it was drastic gaps in shuttle, cones and I think 10 yard split. No debate on the bottom half though. And to the OPs point - I’d suppose that CB can “scout team” some of Edelman’s moves decently for our defenders. I do like that the OPs returns to the thread have been 100% grammar related though

I shouldn’t have used the the word overwhelming admittedly.... but I’ll say conversationally, most aren’t taking “they will win” as you putting a 51% chance on it. It doesn’t read like “man this is a really tight one but i think they squeeze out a win” And in the nfl anything that leans much past a coin flip is a pretty strong favorite. To be saying that kind of statement against a team like the pats is a relatively bold stance even from the best of teams in the league. Ill add it’s not meant as a knock to buffalo from my end at all.

Well, “they will win” and “they are capable of winning” are two very different stances. I think most believe they could but few think they are an overwhelming favorite.

At a glance- at the combine cole was among the worst at cones and shuttles while Edelman was among the best. Just an example of how they diverge, and that while they both may be effective underneath receivers that how they get there could be a bit different. i think it’s the kind of breakdown that would be fun for someone like cover 1 to do in the offseason

And 91, eh? One of those band wagon fans I see ? Obviously we can. Just a matter of how frequently. I think we we are nearing the territory where you’d expect a split most of the time. Something like we win 4 out of 10 but that’s nice progress and if we sweep the rest of the division 5-1 would be huge as a jumping off point
