  1. the one perk with the expiring contract is we likely get a comp pick later to offset the cost. so if we looked at sending a 3 and getting a 4 back a year later… it’s less painful. A depth player and later pick might even work. one perk being that the players would be familiar with the systems not advocating or even suggesting it happens but a couple minor perks
  2. ultimately, exactly what the nfl has insulated itself and teams from unless the fins pushed the doctor, they probably dont face much beyond possibly hiring a new one
  3. I think there may be regional undertones
  4. I think that needs to be the item that’s addressed. Totally unnecessary
  5. but the conditions aren’t the same. That’s the point. I’m not clutching pearls and demanding a rematch but this isn’t a great setup for the league in general
  6. I won’t argue the effect on the game but that’s ridiculous. Even if you give benefit of the doubt and he has a back injury that’s so bad that he’s collapsing on the field he shouldn’t be in there.
  7. just 4 times in a row and I couldn’t fault the play call - it’d be all the players at that point
  8. he had a very good quarter to half of football most media watched highlights and like flashy proclamations he had a not particularly productive 6 or so quarters prior. Who knows what shows up Sunday but he’s not shown he’s that guy for long stretches yet
  9. Agreed. ultimately it’s the type of change that might swing a TD every couple games. No safety is a huge swing. The folks acting like we need to score 2 extra touchdowns a game are being dramatic. Especially when tre returns.
  10. the saints signed retired mike mckenzie and Chris McAllister mid season to play corner their Super Bowl year. To expect to be fully healthy is not realistic. getting tre back will really help bolster the secondary
  11. Lose Micah but getting tre back in the secondary soon. Don’t like the trade but do like having reinforcements in the pipeline very soon.
  12. for clarity, this is to toast the bread, not as an internal component though pimento cheese is also delicious so I wouldn’t be shocked if it could do well inside
  13. I’d be curious how many butter folks have tried the Mayo method.
  14. on the outside. and Mayo. dukes specifically
  15. You’re talking fumble on a kneel down (got to be about single digit times in the modern era). Then defense recover that ultra rare fumble. Then offense goes 90 yards to score and convert the extra point. And then win in overtime. compared to score (common), onside (like 10%), score from mid field (common minus time constraints). And possibly be in overtime from there. both very rare but obviously the second is far more viable.
  16. Strong disagree.
  17. I’ll say I’ve been roasted a few times for being too serious when the bills have done similar with a late score. It’s rare it bites you like that but it sure does happen occasionally. Off memory, was Micah Hyde’s onside recovery similar with scoring when he should’ve gone down? If I recall it put us up 10 with just under 2 mins left when Miami had no timeouts and going down would’ve ended it
  18. Lots of time and we’ve seen how teams balance out over long stretches. A lackluster game doesn’t color much this early. I agree those are the top three but think we see several of the second tier teams get hot for stretches and look like they could make real noise.
  19. I don’t know that a lot are solidly ahead of them. But I also don’t think they are actually ahead of anyone in that second tier.
  20. Or could’ve been a cramp and a 34 point lead. We will see.
  21. though I wonder if some may have been in a tie game late as opposed to a blowout
  22. It’s not the opposing teams job to fix that and we shouldn’t normalize it for this very reason
  23. I was pretty certain but not 100% it was him both times. but yea, it’s one thing to jaw and shove a little. To run across the field and put a guy on the turf is a different level. And to do it repeatedly should cost him a game.
  24. im not sure that an alleged violent gang rape is the spot to make the argument but if you want to go down that path that’s your prerogative. I’d pick my spot somewhere that better lends itself to that discussion, personally.
