  1. agreed on all fronts. and also got called out for saying 3 touches for 10 yards did not qualify as a “great game” I think he worked his way right off the team this year, and Hines replaced all his “pure athlete” touches and shakir/crowder(Beckham?) take his 3rd WR work by the time post season arrives (disclaimer for injuries)
  2. Zach moss is slow again
  3. because a losing team with no qb doesn’t need the most expensive backup running back in the league hes still quite good but not great ROI on a 3 win team
  4. expensive and they are going nowhere
  5. he’s trying to get you to react. You did.
  6. we didn’t pick up ladanian Tomlinson but Darren sproles isn’t a bum its a good add even if not a huge splash
  7. he was benched last year and might have been playing better at the time without going back to refresh my memory of the games prior. he’s super fast and can make plays but gosh I can’t think of another player that’s had more disasters per touch in recent memory
  8. I think he’s obnoxious as hell sometimes, but that he’s producing a more authentic insight into the nfl than most major media guys. He makes good connections with the players and gets them going in a more unfiltered manner than just about anyone else these days. he’s got the authenticity of a guy that spent time in the locker room and doesn’t burn it the way most ex players do when trying to figure out the media side
  9. yup- great horizontal speed underneath and can turn vertical quickly.
  10. there are just soooo many running back options on the market next year. A huge number. Will be hard to project how free agency will shake out.
  11. 6 fumbles in 5 years?
  12. elite speed, and a Swiss Army knife…. But reliable. picture the offensive role McK has had recently - the little jet sweep is identical to the above highlight. The option pitch in the backfield that didn’t work for whatever reason. That little inside slant he slipped on in the end zone. Ignoring the highs and lows, it’s text book what Hines is doing. Throw in returning kickoffs. I think this says way more about McK than the starting RB next year.
  13. I’m just going to keep saying it: mckenzie. Dude is super high risk on the field, has been benched before, and has had a rollercoaster season. slot receiver running jet sweeps and returning kicks? plus good insurance in the running back room.
  14. he’s good insurance in case of injury at RB but if you recall the off-season chatter was about him spending more time with the receivers than the backs in Indy. I genuinely think it’s as much about mckenzie as cook if talking about what “hole” they may be trying to fill. kick returner? Check. slot receiver capable of a pretty full route tree? Yup. 3rd down back and potential gadget runner? Sure thing. Plus if a back is hurt they have a vet that can pick up slack in a more traditional role. exhibit a in the point I’m trying to make
  15. I bet he steals more snaps from mckenzie than he does singletary (or cook) return guy, slot receiver and some rushes sprinkled in?
  16. I think they swapped from play to win to play not to be embarrassed and maybe lightning strikes down Josh causing a scoop and score by the defense.
  17. I would definitely go straight to a message board to name home publicly
  18. I’m sure the contract was over the top specific on these terms and the nfl has to enforce their terms to protect their copyrights… but it’s not a great look for them on the publicity front
  19. The bengals offense seemed out of sorts last night. I wonder when this happened.
  20. to be fair I think the d line was still being told to get up field o effect potential passing, even if it allowed the backs to get to the second level more often. the whole second half was don’t let Rodgers get comfortable even if it costs us a yard or two on the ground
  21. Pass Milano some of that ice cream to do away with those abs.
  22. they probably had 5-6 viewings of this and decided they definitively saw the ball hit the ground- correctly. If they don’t see that, they buzz the ref. The line we have there is pretty decent. honestly, the guys not on the field likely see a lot more in their viewings than the guy on the field would be able to anyway.
  23. I’d be totally fine with hunt - especially liking that he gets to ease into the rotation. Good out of the shotgun, and good in the passing game. Can be 3rd on the depth chart for a couple weeks and see where it takes us long term. Singletary rolls an ankle in a month and we aren’t debating moss vs rushing him back at 75%. even as a 3 month rental- if we let him walk we get a comp pick a year later. Literally worst case is he’s underutilized and costs us trading a 2023 4th for a 2024 4th to have the insurance.
  24. though they are reviewing all these in real time and saw there was nothing that needed the 5 minute deep dive. A turnover comes with a built on tv break so the “automatic review” is kind of built in by the flow of the game. If this one had any question they would’ve stopped play.
  25. Think of it this way in situational football… the packers needed big plays fast. They were essentially the equivalent of facing 3rd and 15 the entire second half. No one cares if they run for 7 yards a carry there. As a DC you’d agree to that every day without pulling players out of the secondary. our offense committed turnovers, our defense missed tackles, and we still won by two scores because every time they handed the ball off on the proverbial third and 15 they gained 7-10 yards and lost the down. Many of those big runs saw their odds of winning go down.
