  1. presumably she utilized past nfl punishments, and that was a threshold used for severity previously
  2. Recently added a couple billy strings shows
  3. Yes, because the group here is far more savvy at employment law (remember, this is an employment law case)
  4. I hate to continually have to disclaimer that I’m not supporting Watson - but I’m not with the following statement… her stance wasn’t that this was some novel case. It was a non violent sexual assault. The nfl presented 5 incidents, and 1 was removed. There’s been some parameters over non violent sexual assault punishment. The uniqueness of his case being a volume of 4 incidents.
  5. roger does not want to be in court discussing krafts incident now does he?
  6. the guy has missed 23 games when all is said and done. I imagine this received at least slight consideration
  7. again, landing him in court answering questions about Kraft, etc… nope - not likely happening
  8. again, on the field and off the field impacts being far different issues to deal with. And the CBA addresses them as such.
  9. not to mention Watson taking the nfl to federal court and asking for review of evidence against craft, for instance.
  10. and liability is a broad word here right? You can settle a lawsuit if you have done nothing wrong but want to avoid the circus of an accusation. I’m not saying it’s the case here but many get these concepts mixed up and it’s a real important baseline to these discussions
  11. settling is not directly an admission of guilt
  12. Goodell doesn’t want the nflpa in federal court talking about Kraft, Snyder etc…
  13. I’ve often said that a developmental OT is still your best blocking OT and it’s only gotten more true a young guy can get live reps in a role he’s growing into instead of a super limited TE that has little upside
  14. One year left: browns? The Saints were super even with jameis last year before the injury but then also, mark Sanchez was garbage jimmy g is fine but he’s not who you want long term
  15. No team walks in perfect. This is about as minor a challenge as any team will have.
  16. no, because I believe josh is good enough to rise to the task and I believe Murray is not the elite of the elite
  17. I tend to agree. As the talent around him shrinks a bit to account for his raise I think Arizona will go south relatively quickly
  18. strings and Harper are both solid my current on the books are jack white, Marcus king and puscifer this fall
  19. As we aren’t considering him I’d suggest getting on the joke train John. Read the room.
  20. the joy this would bring everyone- josh included- would be immense
  21. if the opinion shared is accurate that she is holding her decision hoping the pressure of camp approaching will force a settlement then what you wrote may go out the window completely though. also, depending on her decision, federal court may be a moot issue.
  22. on a practical level, I don’t love the judge pushing it to the start of camp to possibly provoke a settlement. We are solidly 18 months removed from the initial accusations. Deliberation shouldn’t need to role into the start of another season. Make a decision and let the parties proceed with their next steps.
  23. I think there are a few things you are running into in this phase of the offseason: 1) someone’s done it in his mold before, however rarely, so we probably have 3 guys that can do the same. 2) hes made that play before so he can be that guy all day every day. I’ve seen him be capable of catching a ball downfield so how dare you question if he can do it with the skill and consistency of a top tier guy id love for shakir to come in and surprise. Unfortunately Davis is still the guy we are hoping can step up for 16 games. Shakir is a dude we hope makes a couple plays to buy some time to develop into a regular contributor
  24. its weird. Comparing the bills to other super bowl contenders and chatting about areas that could be addressed is considered pessimism. Comparing them to bad teams is optimism. rams brought in OBJ with a good Corp in place. The bucs with a better group than ours was adding AB. Mahomes has been given better weapons up to this year. Burrow has more outside weapons. Josh has covered a good bit on offense compared to our closest competitors. im not targeting obj but if I heard an outside guy was brought in I would get it
  25. Im not advocating for either, but check the made up rules at the door heck, we are all assuming davis steps all the way up too. Behind diggs none are proven. I’d bet on Davis but to bet on Davis AND someone else is a lot. If diggs went down for a few weeks it would likely put A LOT on josh to play make instead of just taking what’s there.
