  1. juju, hardman, Valdez scantling, and sky…. You skipped their number 2 and sent the wrong packer to them.
  2. the stats on corners vs others covering tight ends bear out my point pretty consistently. Great players will still make some plays but a guy with great coverage skills tend to fair much better than simply a larger body that is just ok in coverage.
  3. I suspect corners can cover him but more importantly they have had too many deep threats to sit a top corner on him
  4. it seems you may be overstating the “surely” part or they probably would’ve done it
  5. three years is a long time for a running qb.
  6. one might argue that having a value and terms you won’t exceed is perhaps well running. I’ll again echo- the biggest variable in these negotiations is that Lamar is doing it himself. Until shown otherwise, that’s got to be the first suspicion for why it’s not done.
  7. yea but the 8 guys before him we did it with weren’t
  8. He’s not
  9. I don’t think you are accurately remembering the bad times
  10. which is very rare and incredibly valuable.
  11. Absolutely insane timeline hopefully
  12. yes. He is abrasively self confident. You are humble.
  13. I think none of us know what in the world Jackson is doing behind the scenes so it’s nearly impossible to apply “this is how a negotiation normally goes” logic to this one.
  14. depth in a backfield that plays 3 guys at the position, if not 4, and will almost always be effected by injuries. And is expensive to staff long term too.
  15. phillips was in AZ 2 years for $20m and butler here for 2 years and $13m how large a gap can you call almost the same? That’s closer to “nearly double” than “almost the same”
  16. at the contract he got, it was fine to let him walk. On a line where he is 4th behind Miller, Oliver, and Rousseau- and paid as such I will celebrate him all day long.
  17. they made the comment that other teams may learn the key to stopping the rams was rush four with a shell to stop any deep plays. as if everyone would get that pressure or have those safeties
  18. im even good with those minus the last run after the game was won and the rams had already gotten chippy I hope a lesson was learned.
  19. I’m great with everything up until that drive. questionable to send him out. Inexcusable to call the option there. The rams were already testy. He doesn’t need to be exposed like that there. I hope they have a real serious talk about it tomorrow. Plenty to celebrate, and that can be the serious learning moment from the game.
  20. he was trying hard to be diplomatic - he’s all in with Buffalo
  21. No punts in 4 of the last 6 games. Just crazy.
  22. None of them are. but you let them play through it. I would’ve let him get a few more touches but as long as it’s not the dog house long term I’m ok sending some sort of message to,
  23. Still super weird to me that they pushed to obliterate his career as soon as haack was cut and then went relatively radio silence in the week since he was cut. not saying they were right, wrong, or in between… but really don’t see the goal of the play unless it’s simply punitively punish araiza because you don’t think the case will go anywhere but at least that’s a bit of payback?
  24. his phone will be locked in a bag
  25. right? I’d venture if you did 65 yard rushers vs 195 yard passers in the first half of games (ie not running the clock out or garbage time catch-up stats) it probably flips back to passing being the advantageous
