  1. Tom Brady on Fox will actually be interesting. As much as we all couldn’t stand him as a player, he’ll offer really unique perspective during a game.
  2. If around, I’m hoping his breakout is in year three.
  3. If they aren’t going to play Elam, I’d do it. Been thinking they need to draft a WR early and mid-to-late anyway. Maybe they only need to draft a WR early then, and Burks can be viewed as their mid-to-late with potential upside.
  4. I predict they renegotiate terms that work for both sides, and they won’t need the “guts” to just cut him outright. I’d be most surprised if they don’t at least renegotiate…
  5. I also think there’s a snowball effect for the Chiefs. The fact that they’ve already won adds confidence to their ability to do it again, while taking some pressure off at the same time. Since trading Tyreek, one could say they’ve been playing with house money, yet they keep winning. Meanwhile, teams like the Bills tighten up in some of these clutch moments, because they want it SO bad and have a fear of failure in the back of their minds. Even last night, it’s like even if Mahomes loses, he still has two SBs already, which takes pressure off of him to have to win another. Which I think actually helps him non-chalantly lead his team to victory in OT.
  6. This, plus for me, I find Reid/Mahomes way more likable than BB/Brady and all the other arrogant players from those Pats teams. Yea Mahomes gets his share of calls and whines at times, but I generally find the Chiefs more down to earth than the Pats ever were. And that’s without even mentioning the cheating scandals.
  7. Between their coaching staff (Reid and Spags) and players (Mahomes, Kelce, Jones, etc.), they know how to execute in big games.
  8. I love the fact he says they need an interpreter to understand what Rodgers is even saying lol
  9. Given track record, I’ve come to believe Spags is one of the great D coordinators over the past 20 years. In a one game setting, he seems to be as good as anyone in scheming something up. Aside from Mahomes and Kelce, he’s the other reason I like the Chiefs to beat the 49ers this weekend. He’ll do something to make Brock Purdy’s life hell.
  10. Do we know who gave him the one vote?
  11. All of the losses were far from Allen’s fault, but the Jets game is the last one I’d try to make that argument. He gave the game away in the second half, in primetime Week 1 against Zach Wilson. That’s an embarrassing loss and Josh then fought the turnover narrative all season. Game shouldn’t have gotten to OT.
  12. If going 11-6 and not winning MVP is what it takes for Josh to not come out and give games away (a la NYJ week 1), I’m all for it. The league is all about winning, not just making great plays.
  13. Agree with you. If 49ers beat the Ravens, CMC would have been league MVP. He was trending toward being the favorite by halftime of that game, but once Ravens won, Lamar became the favorite and clinched it when they spanked the Dolphins. If MVP voting included playoffs, maybe someone overtakes Lamar, but the voting happens when the regular season wraps and Ravens were all the talk then.
  14. Agreed. They’d have been 17-0 and be playing this weekend.
  15. Playing basketball got all the glory and attention at my high school
  16. What’s making you get slowly more and more convinced?
  17. Diggs must be unhappy because Josh is giving all his attention to Hailee and not enough to their nights staying up playing video games. And that explains Diggs’ deteriorating production in the second half of the year too. 😝
  18. For anyone with a gambling problem, FanDuel encourages them to call the gambling addiction hotline. 😀
