It’s bananas to me that you can bet on the Draft…

Where can you bet on it? I’m down in Pittsburgh area and can’t seem to on any of the betting sites. -
NeverOutNick's Annual WR Rankings

See Puka Nucua’s name once in that thread, and its bottom of someone’s list. Even if we get one of the “names” early, can always strike gold with a later round flier too. -
NeverOutNick's Annual WR Rankings

Anyone named Brain is the smart pick. Right @Einstein? -
I agree. For a 4th round pick, I’d say Gabe Davis generally was worth that pick or better, for the four years he was with us. But when time was up, another team was able and willing to pay him more for his services than the Bills. WRs are getting paid big-time in the league right now. Plus, it’s also possible more WRs are out of the league after a few years than OL, given speed is a bigger part of a WR’s game while things like strength are bigger part of an O-lineman’s game. This would mean teams should be drafting WRs more regularly, and not necessarily re-signing them.

1st Round Draft Poll...WWBD (what will Beane do)?
strive_for_five_guy replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think trade up to early 20’s to draft a WR. Either to draft BJT who has slipped (which I highly doubt happens), or there’s a run on WRs, Beane is going to get antsy and want to move up. Maybe he stays pat if BJT doesn’t slip, and there’s not a 5th WR off the board until like pick 23 or later. If there is a run on WRs, smart thing is probably to stand pat and take BPA or trade down, but going to be hard given WR needs. -
Is the source of the whispers you are hearing credible?

I usually ask, “are you @HOUSE?”, but always letdown when the answer is no. -
How many passes could you complete?

I’m holding out the possibility that there is a current or ex college/NFL level QB lurking on these boards 😆😆… -

Draft, Here’s What’s Going to Happen
strive_for_five_guy replied to Thrivefourfive's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here’s what will happen then. This board goes into full panic mode and insists all Friday that Beane must be planning to trade up in the 2nd to get our guy at WR. We land someone decent and board instantly is put at ease, calling Beane a wizard. -
You don’t think BTJ would be an instant upgrade over Gabe Davis, plus with upside to become a WR1? If Josh was able to make players like Robert Foster look good 6 years ago, I’m very confident Josh will figure out how to click with a WR as athletic as any he’s played with. Josh was able to click with Gabe pretty well in his rookie season too, unfortunately Gabe didn’t develop much beyond that year. The way Daniels would ad lib and find BTJ for big plays, totally can see Josh doing the same and more.

And if it’s not good value in trading up or at 28, potentially trade down -

The Draft is a Total Crapshoot (Per Science)
strive_for_five_guy replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall
They say, don’t put all your eggs in one basket. You sell the farm for one guy and he doesn’t live up to expectations or tears an ACL in training camp, then trading all those other assets away looks stupid.
