Are you still talking the Saturday night slot for Chiefs/Broncos? Why would the NFL put that game on Saturday night, if the outcome takes away any drama for the AFC WC spot on Sunday? The Colts game could be meaningless the next day then, which the NFL and viewers don’t want.

Right, but if Bengals also beat the Steelers in Week 18, then Colts win the tiebreaker. If the Chiefs/Broncos game is going to determine the fate of AFC WC and maybe 1 seed, it will either be Sunday at 4:25 or the Sunday night game. Not Saturday.

So you don’t think the Broncos could lose to the Bengals this week, and Indy to beat the Giants? That’s all it takes for Indy to be live heading into Week 18.

Agree we’ve already talked enough about Bills and Chiefs on that Saturday, especially since it won’t be happening lol.

Thing is, even in the Ravens win on Sat, Derrick Henry had the bigger night. And Marlon Humphrey bailed Lamar out for that red zone INT. So in a week where Josh was off, I don’t think Lamar even made up that much ground. And like the panelists are saying, if the Bills can rest players at some point bc their seeding is locked in, the chase is pretty much done then IMO, bc Josh has finished his test early with great marks, while Lamar would still be trying to finish his.

We get the 2 seed, Josh wins MVP. Whether that’s via Lamar losing on Wed to Houston, or us beating the Jets next weekend, that’s all that has to happen at this point. Doesn’t even need to be pretty now.

If the last AFC WC spot is still up for grabs heading into Week 18, the Broncos game won’t get flexed to Saturday night. It could take away any suspense for other teams like the Bengals that would still be vying for that spot.

If Broncos loses to the Bengals this week, no way their game against the Chiefs is flexed to Saturday night, given it will have implications for the 1 seed and WC then. I’d see that game as either 4:25 on Sunday, or even Sunday night. Agree that Bills/Jets would make sense to go first or at same time.

Exactly. Just need to beat whichever team we face each week. If we’re truly the best team, doesn’t matter if it’s the Broncos or Ravens.
