I like this thread. I'm gonna stay here.

Yeah I'm a little down on Brown after Golden torched him yesterday but not out yet. Kind of sad yet fortunate thing for us (if we sign him) is Peter's, if in shape is a better option on day one. The freak that he is hes probably still better if not in shape. However on not giving up on Brown yet. He plays decent like 85% of the time and I will say this is a much better run blocker than Peter's ever was. Peters was never a mauling run blocker. Brown is a mauling run blocker.

Think we need one (Jason Peters) more right?
-
Josh and offense did not have all the tools at their disposal last night. Plus the interior line played fine. Dion gets better as season goes along every year. But protections weren't adjusted for last night. Good or bad you can't put alot of stock into preseason. It's basically not real. Penalties yes the are real, but sometimes they are a consequence of not being in rhythm and not being confident because there is no gameplan. I'm not putting a lot of stock into what all I saw last night. @oldmanfan thanks for the write up and report. I will say Brown getting beat by Markus Golden last night is a problem and that is real and he needs to fix that immediately.

Jason Peter's can still play. Last year week (i want to say) 15 he came in 2nd half against the Texans at RT (which he hadn't played since '05 with us) and didn't miss a beat. He's got a freak knee bend still at 42. As long as he's in shape he would be an immediate swing/insurance on the line.

There is a lot of truth here. I agree.

Todays game on out of market tv (looking for YouTube) advice
akcash replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hey guessing you are in Toledo... If so you should be able to watch it on NFL + on your phone or tablet with NFL app. And then you can screen mirror it to Roku app or smart TV to get it on the TV. Edit: Roku stick not app. -
Do it Beane. Keep insulating.

Josh Allen: Assistant Offensive Coordinator?
akcash replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I've said in the past if we keep losing O coordinators (to Colin Cowherds theory) maybe Josh van call his own plays like Kelly. -
I said this in another post but this is kind of what I'm thinking. I think it could be Poyer or Hyde with the green dot. And saw it last night a little with Milano and Dotson kind of switching back and forth in the middle on some plays. I feel like William's and Milano are at most natural playmaking linebackers and they're (coaches) hand will be forced at some point (an injury or a bad game, or William's keeps shining in practice). And I feel like they would just play as interchangeable LBs with Poyer or Hyde calling the plays.
-
I've watched some of his Carolina games. Imo hes better and more sure with a gameplan and knowing whose in front of him.
-
I think at some point William's get on the field and one of the safeties is green dot. You saw it a little last night when Milano was lined up at MLB and Dotson was outside. I think at some point their hand is forced and Milano and William's are both on the field as interchangeable LBs and are our best natural playmaking LBs.

Good write up Gunner. I disagree about Spector. I think he played pretty good. AND Denmark I don't think he played very good. From what I see Doyle, Gouraige had really good games. Broeker had a good game although he got ran over on his first snap. But every snap after that was solid. I feel like at some point this season there is a switch up at LB...
-
That Alex Olineman and Broeker were in at center and lg it reminded me of Wood and Levitre. 70 and 67, same numbers and similar frames.
-
Alex Austin looks like he could play safety in future. Has frame and physical skillset for it. His frame kind of reminds me of Hyde.
-
Spector played pretty good
-
Doyle looked good too even nicked up. That dude is pretty tough. I feel like Keeshean Johnson has some game.
-
Richard Gouraige and Eli Ankou had good games.

I am down with it but... I feel it's up to what's Davis is feeling. If he more wants to stay with us and keep it going I think it would work out good. But if that's the case he'll be capped at like $12 million a szn. And if he plays really good it could get awkward if hes grossly underpaid. I feel like I'd be happy if he has a year similar to last year and goes over 1000 yard and signs a 4 year deal with us at $12 mil a year. I would do that deal right now but I feel like its gotta play out so we don't underpay him then he has a wr1 season this year.

Did you watch Bernard play last year? they were mostly ST reps because he was a third round pick. He played 2 games and didn't play very good on defense. Hes too small there is no way he is playing MLB. And Spector is bigger and more explosive and from watching the games has better instincts and shedding ability. He shedded Quinton Nelson last year (week 1 preseason game) in a head on collision at full speed. Bernard could never do that.
-
I seen enough from these three linebackers last year to get an ideas what's gonna happen.
-
Spector Dodson Bernard Outside hire Klein- insurance I believe this is a two horse race with the definite possibility we sign somebody or Klein starts week one. I think Beane try's to unload Bernard somewhere. I'm hoping Spector wins. Didn't see a thread for this discussion.
-
I think the number for Davis is $11-12 mil a years. That would slot him by Jakobi Meyers, Allen Lazard, Michael Gallup, Corey Davis. I would say thats about what he is. I think the Bills would be thrilled to have him for a contract like that. I would be down.

Ha I just heard Josh was teaching Peter KIng a handshake. Gonna have that buttoned up this year sounds like.
