  1. Exactly, thank you! Even Fitz and Edwards played good effeicient games for us and got us off to nice starts to a season (2008, 2011). And they did it with significantly less WR talent.
  2. Don't get me wrong, I am happy we are 2-0, but how in the world can anyone think EJ has done well? He has thrown some awful balls in the first 2 games. Fortunately, we have some really good receivers who have bailed him out by making nice catches. Last week Woods and Williams had to reach for balls where they were wide open and never should have been that off. Today, he threw some more balls to guys who were wide open and yet they had to reach for the ball. That over throw to Sammy in the endzone (think it was just before our third field goal) was inexcusable even for a young QB. The only time he made good throw was when Sammy broke wide open across the middle (so open it was next to impossible to miss him). And then to not be able to get the ball in the endzone after a blocked punt? That was just poor. I certainly don't want to sound like a negative-nelly after a 2-0 start. Again, I am glad we won, don't get me wrong, and I think all around we have a lot of talent to work with, but face it, a lot of it has been our defense, receivers, and as far as today goes, a bad day by Miami's punter.
  3. The Windy city miracle???
  4. Good: Win, Glenn owning Allen Bad: EJ's throws where the receivers bailed him out. Woods and WIlliams both nearly got killed when they were wide open and had to reach for bad passes. EJ has to learn to control those throws. Ugly: Personal foul call on Chandler. He simply pancake blocked the defender and probably just didn't hear the whistle. Potentially costed us 3 points
  5. I seem to remember a few years back when we began the year at KC against the Chiefs. We were coming off a 4-12 season while they had just own the AFC West. Hardly anyone gave us a chance and we went in and mopped the floor with them. Similar situation, even though the Bears missed the playoffs last year, but this time instead of a blowout win I think we come up short but closer than the experts think: Bears 23 Bills 20 Pats 28 Phins 17 (we remain the last team to beat the Patriots in an openning day game) Jets 24 Raiders 3
  6. Dropping the Yankees was a great choice.
  7. Baltimore area and I'll admit I was excited when the Ravens won the superbowl both times. It was just fun seeing all the celebrations in the area and all. In general I like to see the Ravens do well but I don't hate the Steelers. Ultimately, Bills come first.
  8. Patriots??? What?? Did they even have fans before the Brady/Belicheck era??
  9. What do you all think? I know the Simpson's popularity has been down for a while but, while I don't watch it like I used to, I still think it's a great show and I can't wait to see this. Of course I could just be setting myself up for disappointment but I'm looking forward to it?
  10. Early entries to the ESPN Eliminator Challenge. Looks like we have a number of people to prove wrong: Most Popular Picks in Week 1 Philadelphia Eagles 50.6% Chicago Bears 11.3% Kansas City Chiefs 7.3% Pittsburgh Steelers 4.8% New England Patriots 3.5%
  11. Patch Adams, such an underrated movie IMO. RIP
  12. In terms of which QB would give us a better chance at winning now, going into this season, yes, Fitz in a heartbeat.
  13. Would have to be the comeback game against the Oilers. Unfortunately, I don't remember much about the no-punt game otherwise, just judging by the way it went down, that may have been the one. In recent years, I would probably say the comeback win vs the Pats. As an honorable mention, I might say last year's game against the Panthers. That game was made even more memorable by how good the Panthers ended up doing last year.
  14. Kickoff return - you didn't say from scrimmage While I think it will be some 2 yard run up the middle I might throw in a surprise and say 10 yard pass to Scott Chandler.
  15. I'd still be an NFL fan just because I still enjoy following the sport. But I would not be a fan of whatever the team would be called if they moved. And I don't think I'd ever have a favorite team again. I'd just kind of root for teams on a game-by-game basis.
  16. I tried raw almonds as I understand the healthiest way to eat nuts is raw but unfortunately they made me sick to the stomach. So I usually go for the roasted ones that don't have a whole lot of added ingredients in them.
  17. Here's to hoping this is an April Fool's joke 3 months late.
  18. I will still go to a sports bar every Sunday with Bills gear on staring at a wall periodically yelling and playing the shout song from my phone. They can have me committed if they wish.
  19. I pronounce it pe-con. As I recall either is acceptable, but I believe some say pe-cn and I don't think that one is.
  20. Interested to see what everyone's favorite nut is. I think I covered the main ones but if I didn't list yours, reply. I like all/most of them but my personal favorite is the Macadamia nut.
  21. Van Halen - Right Now Just about anything from Live
  22. We definitely had some moments last year that were worth reflecting upon: - Comeback win vs Carolina - Beating the defending champs - Sweeping the Dolphins and crushing the Jets - KIKO!
