Current Bills going to Hall of Fame?
Talley56 replied to BuffalothruMyVeins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't want to suggest anything before the guy even plays a down in the league but if he can live up to the hype perhaps Sammy. -
In looking at the bright side, in another thread I recall people expressing wanting to beat NE while they still have Brady. This will give us plenty more opportunities.

Definitely with you on the West Seneca stadium. Only ever been to a few games myself and those were in the past few years but I personally enjoy the experience of it being in a town/community away from all the hussle of a big city. It's also great being able to park in people's yards. Building a stadium downtown would ruin the experience at least for me.

AFC East Winner or When will Brady decline?
Talley56 replied to Chas56's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They will probably win the division until Brady retires. it seems like we've heard it all before, "Brady is getting older, this will be the year they slide", "They lost this player/that player so this will be the year they slide". "The Jets made improvements so this will be the year they'll jump over the Patriots". Last year they lost Welker, Hernandez, and they were without Gronk for most of the year. Also, the Dolphins looked a little more competitve and our defense got significantly better. Yet they still beat us twice, won the division, and made it to the AFC Championship Game. I would love it if anyone knocked them off. I'd even like to see the Jets win the division if that means the Patriots don't. But unfortunately it just looks like they will be good until Brady is gone. -
Agreed, hate the fact that he allegedly wants to buy the team and move it somewhere else but I've always enjoyed his music. I'd like to add 'Wanted Dead or Alive'. That said, I don't know that I'll ever be able to enjoy his music again if he does indeed relocate the team.

Coming to Buffalo, looking for advice
Talley56 replied to packfntk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't read all of the replys and I have only been to Buffalo on a few occasions for some games but I liked Pearl Street Grill & Brewery. It's a sports bar in downtown Buffalo on, appropriately named, Pearl Street. Nothing overly special about it but it's a nice place to go for a night out. There's also a casino not too far from there. For parking on game day, I would recommend finding a house on Abbott Rd. -
Win Bills Season Tix for Life by predicting schedule
Talley56 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was unable to sign up for the Bills schedule challenge so here are my picks. If I do get it perfect I can come back to this post and remember where I could have won season tickets for life. Cleveland @ NY Jets San Diego @ Denver @ Houston Miami Bye Green Bay @ Oakland Minnesota @ New England Kansas City @ Detroit @ Miami NY Jets @ Chicago New England Anyone else want to show theirs? -
That was crazy!!! The episode only ended like an hour ago so I won't say what happened, but, it's pretty insane!

Should the NFL add 2 more wild card teams?
Talley56 replied to Donald Duck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Too many teams who don't deserve to be in the playoffs already make it (see 2010 Seahawks and 2011 Broncos). If they added one more playoff team this past year the Steelers would have made it and I just don't feel like they played a season that was deserving of a playoff spot. -
We had two kinds of chili (chicken and beef), various chips, dips, and small deserts. I like the simple stuff when it comes to Super Bowl food.

Seattle 20-17
-
Guess I'll go against the grain and say the Niners. I don't know, they just seem to have a it all together and now that they have Crabtree healthy their offense might be better. Plus they've been bullied around in Seattle too many times in recent years to let it happen again and Seattle's offense has sputtered at times lately (see week 16 vs AZ). I'm thinking it will be 49ers vs Patriots (even though I don't want this matchup)

We've gotten the high draft picks. We've grabbed the talent. Time for that talent to start winning big games and building confidence. Nothing would make me happier than to end the season beating NE and sending them from being a bye team to having to play the next week in a wildcard game.

Does anybody care about the rest of the season.
Talley56 replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would like to see us win some games here at the end of the year in hopes that it gives our young guys confidence going into next year. -
QB ratings, record, losing to Jacksonville, etc. I still say he was our best QB since Bledsoe (though I know that's not saying much). Or, who was exposed and therefore more beatable now.

I still believe in EJ Manuel
Talley56 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd like to point out the performance of another young QB today if this makes anyone feel any better: Andrew Luck. He looked terrible today throwing 3 picks at home against a modest Rams defense as his team got humiliated (though i have not seen those picks to be able to tell if they were all his fault). Just shows that even good young QBs are going to have bad games. This is EJ's first game back from injury and only his 6th NFL start. Let's give him a few more games at least. -
Most disappointing losses in last 14 years
Talley56 replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When it comes to disappointing, I would say the 6-3 loss to Cleveland in 2009. It just seemed like none of our players cared to win that game. Almost as if they just wanted to get it over with and go home. -
Not sure if anyone saw this, or even cares, but his prediction is all the way at the bottom: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000274267/article/nfl-midseason-predictions-crowded-race-for-last-afc-wild-card

Oh Man.....are the Chiefs that good?
Talley56 replied to Numark's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For as much as people are criticizing the Chiefs for a soft schedule, last year the Colts also went from 2-14 to the playoffs. However, when you look back at their schedule from last year, they also beat a lot of soft competition (sans maybe the win over Green Bay). Yet all I remember hearing was what a great turn around they made. -
Fitz was a sold QB and, had it not been for the money situation, would have been worth keeping as a backup. There is no way to definitively say that the homerun throwback play was a forward lateral.

The Dolphins are not better than the Bills
Talley56 replied to KikO M G's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I recall week 2, 2006, Buffalo @ Miami. The Dolphins were heavy favorites to be playoff contenders that year while the Bills were expected to do nothing. Everyone was picking the Dolphins and yet the Bills win 16-6. This game could easily go the same way. -
It might rival FSU's 63-0 massacre of UMD

Kiko Alonso doesn't play for the Bills, the Bills play for Kiko Alonso
