  1. I wasn't downplaying the importance of a defensive/special teams TD. I was just saying that their offense hasn't played well and it had to be helped out last week by their defense and special teams. They could score defensive/special teams TDs against us but if they don't, I think we could force their offense to struggle even though we are thin at DB.
  2. The Ravens offense has not looked that good ever since the first half of the Denver game. It took a defensive and special teams touchdown to pull away against the Texans. I could see us winning a low-scoring game. Bills 13-10
  3. If you look at the past 3-4 years they've actually played better against us for the most part than the Patriots have.
  4. After the way TB's defense gave the Saints' offense problems last week, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see TB go in and beat NE. Even with NE coming in off a longer rest.
  5. I was close, does that count? I followed the same chart path until I got to the crying for no reason part. I said no and landed on the Chargers.
  6. I have to respectfully disagree, if anyone deserves criticism IMO it is certainly NOT the defense. The only TD drives the Pats had were off turnovers. Yeah, they gave up drives at the end of the game but when the offense gives up a quick three and out even a good defense can only stop a brady-run offense for so long.
  7. Maybe TOP, long drives that keep Brady off the field. Though if we run the hurry up this may not be possible.
  8. Football's image as a sport is in way too much trouble with concussion issues as it is to even think about making players play more games each season, whether it would be adding regular season or playoff games. I'm okay with less preseason games, but not with more regular season games to replace them.
  9. New England Patriots L 38-20 Carolina Panthers L 24-20 at New York Jets L 17-13 As bad as the Jets might be we've been struggling against them lately Baltimore Ravens W 20-10 I really think the Ravens lost more than people realize. Not exaggerating when I say they could finish in the area of 3-13 at Cleveland Browns W 19-10 Cincinnati Bengals W 17-16 We always do well against these guys even when they are better than us (see 2005 meeting), and I'm not big on Andy Dalton at Miami Dolphins L 21-7 at New Orleans Saints L 40-21 Kansas City Chiefs W 27-13 Another team we usually do well against at Pittsburgh Steelers L 20-3 New York Jets W 24-7 While we do struggle against the Jets, I think we'll take them at home Atlanta Falcons L 27-24 We don't usually play well in Toronto, but this might be about the time we start to look more competitive against good competition at Tampa Bay Buccaneers L 20-19 A painfully familiar score in a familiar setting at Jacksonville Jaguars W 20-17 Miami Dolphins W 31-10 at New England Patriots L 35-24 7-9 finish aided by a soft schedule but showing hope near the end of the season for the future.
  10. I guess I'm in the minority in that I feel that the Ravens were screwed far more than the Broncos in that they don't get to host the opener after winning the superbowl. They could have played the game on Wednesday to avoid conflicting with the O's. I can't imagine anyone would have been offended. As far as the Broncos go, they got to take the home opener over a team who beat them on the way to a championship. They can deal with the banner.
  11. I find it nice to have solitude with God during walks. I try to have solitude daily with God and the walks are something I have been trying to do here and there through out the summer. I would encourage anyone to give it a try.
  12. Thoughts on the final season so far?
  13. Execution on whatever we run. You just never know about schemes because they can change from pre-season to regular season (coaches may not want to show their hand during the pre-season). I just want to see us execute well on whatever we do run during the pre-season. It could be a confidence boost for them to do well heading into the regular season.
  14. No one gave us a chance before the 2009 opener and we won that one.....until the final 2 minutes
  15. What are yours? Basically do you like any movies that the rest of the world seems to hate or not like any movies that everyone seems to go nuts over. Two that come to mind for me are: Blaire Witch - This is a movie I really liked even though it has always been criticized. I just thought it was good and suspenseful if you use your imagination. Office Space - Even though everyone thinks this movie is hilarious I just couldn't get into it. I don't know, just didn't find it very funny at all.
  16. Jurassic Park 2 - It wasn't bad but compared to how great the original was it was a huge disappointment. I actually kind of liked #3 though.
  17. That would be awesome. Here's to hoping you are right. Unfortunately I was really convinced that we would be a playoff contender last year so I've kind of worn out my optimism.
  18. We beat the few teams we are at least a little bit better than (KC, Jacksonville, Cleveland). Maybe throw in an upset over Cincinnati or someone like that and in the end about 6-10.
  19. Yeah, I don't recall all these insults towards him before the Jets drafted him.
  20. Since I'm not in Buffalo or Western NY for that matter a home game would be a trip for me. I'm hoping to make it up to a game at the Ralph. Awaiting the sked.
  21. I believe it was called against us in a game vs the Bengals a couple of years back. Dalton lost the ball, we recovered, but it was ruled an incompletion.
  22. I still think Fitz is a sold backup QB. Can't say I feel the same about Edwards nor Losman: 1. Fitz 2. Losman 3. Edwards
  23. Are there any three players who could have prevented the 45 points NE put on us in the second half in week 4?
  24. While the Giants were the team we came closest to beating if I got to choose one SB to see us win I would have much rather beaten the Cowboys one of the times we played them. But since picking the Bills is against the rules I'll say I wish the Colts had beaten the Jets in SB III even though that means one of the all time great upsets in sports history never happens.
